You'd never think to put Carolina Herrera, go-to designer for the ladies who lunch, in a corner with the flower power movement. But eat my words I will, because the lady is definitely feeling her florals - maybe not the psychedelic kind, but florals nonetheless.
The show began with a flower-emblazoned tank, and ended with a pretty pink strapless gown, awash with what else but big abstract flowers? In between came a shirtdess with poofy skirt and bow detailing, a maxi dress with polka dots and bias seams, and lots of cocktail-ready dresses, in reds, baby blues, white, and black.
I have to give it to Carolina, she does know her audience! Socialite wear extraordinaire, some of it is just not for me...

I would totally put CH in the flower power area, did you see her resort wear collection? Several florals and sometimes used for the whole outfit, accesories included.
Although I am far from a socialite, I really love her shows and her creations. She does a great job always, and is focused unlike others (marc jacobs, hmm?).
I would wear everything in this collection.
1I was kinda skeptical of floral prints...but CH worked it! I love this collection.
2Wow she worked the prints! That collection is so beautiful!
3Lovely, I really like it.

5Carolina - que bonito!
6beautiful! i definitely want to find a knock off of that skirt asap!!
7there's not one item in that collection I wouldn't wear...
8Beautiful, chic, and very feminine~perfectly Carolina. She never dissapoints me.
9i love it, i think you don't have to be a socialite (althought you might need a socialite's bank account) to wear her clothes. i love it; the lush colors were gorgeous. i'm putting this on my favorites.
10i really really love her dress
