At first glance, Marc Jacob's Spring collection was discombobulated (oh no!). At second glance, it was interesting. At third glance, it was downright creative. Yes, there were hits and misses, but I think the hits make up for any shortcomings.
Though visions of Chanel may pop into your head, the hits were dramatic asymmetrical gowns with floral appliqués, sharp separates and unique mix matched pairings containing sequins, silk and sheer panels. The misses were kinda lame jersey dresses with sports numbers on them, a dress with underwear silhouettes on the outside and a black dress with colorful flowers and ribbons drooping off. But I think in the end, to each his own and some may find beauty in these experiments.
Jacobs dipped into every crayon in the crayon box, from muted retro hues to bright bolds. As well there was obvious lingerie inspiration with visible undergarments, some crazy hats and colorful dramatic gloves.

I heart MJ, but this didn't do much for me.
1Yeah, I can't even pretend to be impressed.
2I too am usually a big Marc fan, but this is NOT for me.

4What a mess! Although there were a couple of interesting pieces, the majority of it looked like something I would have made in 8th grade home-ec. And that's not a compliment.
5Really not loving the "number" dresses.
6I'm not feeling it at all...and can see why Victoria Beckham looks perplexed in the pictures on popsugar!
7I liked a few pieces, like there were some really pretty moments. And then there was some moments which were highly questionable. But like most people I love Marc, so its genius, LOL!

9Overall the collection looks like a pile of random unfinished, uninspired sh*t.
I kind of like this runway show. I expect MJ to go nuts with his show and his pieces. I really do like the purple pantsuit and the hot pink long dress. The darker purple short-suit is really cute too.
Overall, shocked that I really loved this show, maybe the best?!
