Irina's copying was illegal. I know she was stopped but I refused to listen to any of her whining when she knowingly did it herself.

I always thought Althea was a better designer than Irina, anyway.

At first I didn't believe Althea was copying anything! But NOW, I'm starting to wonder about the whole situation. On the clip for next week's show, Tim is heard saying, regarding the makeup styling for the runway show, "Well, that sounds just like what Irina just told me [that she was doing.]" Hmmmmm But I still really like Althea... but I'm rooting for Carol Hannah most of all!

she didn't copy the images from another artist. All of Coney Island is copyrighted no one can use the image, period. That's like you taking a picture of the empire state building and puting it on a shirt ..you're not copying it but someone already owns the rights of that image.

My theory is this: nobody on this show is particularly forward thinking anyway. They are all recycling ideas that have already been seen. Althea and Irina just happen to be inspired by the same aesthetics.

vinnie you have to remember this show was recorded awhile ago... it took so long to air given the weinstein bros/bravo battle. So yes technically we should be seeing what they have done in stores.

I don't think she's copying at all. It's not as if Irina is the only person who ever thought of having an oversized sweater or using models with messy hair.

I keep hoping that in the last episode, Tim Gunn says something to Irina about her rotten attitude and how it will hinder her future success. I think Althea and Carol Hannah seem like genuinely sweet people, and even though Irina is very talented, WHO would ever want to work with such an arrogant, self-centered twit?

I believe it was Nick Verreos who said a few episodes back, that when there are designers working in such proximity to eachother there are bound to be some similarities in design and inspiration. So obviously this has happened on episodes past since he himself was a contestant. BTW: Team Carol Hannah!
