We all love Target for bringing us designer duds for less, but when they look like this Alice Temperley for Target Crepe Skirtall, $30, I'm a little less excited.
The skirtall: we were friends in the early 90s, but since, we've become estranged. I'm not sure that I'm ready to kiss and make up just yet - our friendship almost seems better left in the past. What about you, are you ready to rekindle the skirtall flame?

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!! Am I ever disappointed?!
No, gross. However I did just buy a fab long sleeve striped shirt from this collection and I got so many compliments and felt very sexy in it. So I really liked that part of the collection.
I saw this in Target last week -- I thought it looked ridiculous.
This would look kinda cute....on a 5 year old!
oh my.. i wore these when i was younger.. no no no!
I was looking forward to Temperley's Target collection but I'm disappointed. It is nothing at all like her high-end pieces. Basically, it's just all button-down shirts and boring black skirts and a sweater or two thrown in. Blah.
I had success with three pieces: a black babydoll dress, a cute cream shell with black lace and buttons (it was a little long though), and a sweater coat. I was hoping for more.
I went to Target and saw this with my own eyes! The fabric is horrendous and I don't know how this could fit anyone properly!
Any type of "all" whether it be a skirtall, shortall or overall is just an all over NO! NO! NO! This is awful! I would rather wear a potato sack.
wow she reeeeeeeeally dumbed down her collection for the target crowd. it is kind of insulting.
Very sad indeed!!!!
Ugh.
don't like it at all..
hate it
Yuck
I hate the overalls but the shirt is very cute.
well ..it would look really good if u were goin to a costume party ..jus add a fishnet body suits
honestly, i really really hate it but i bet the younger ones can pull it off.
Hate it
Hate it. Hideous material too
Anything ending in "-all" = a BIG no-no.
Hate to say it, but it's cute enough on the model, and I can see some designers adding the right pieces to make it work-- but the clientele at Target will be making a huge mistake from the moment they take it off the rack. There's no way a normal person can look good in that.
I was extremely disappointed by the entire Alice Temperley line for Target. I think the special lines are getting cheaper and cheaper looking. The quality is just not there as it was for the earlier designers.
Reminds me of my childhood.
I don't like it.
Umm, they expect me to pay money for that??!!
I'm with puddlesplasher.
This looks like something the 3 year old my mom takes care of would wear.
I think it looks a little creppy. To me, it looks like a women's little kid version of the overall look. Not even a cute little kid version.
*Sorry creepy.
I saw this at Target last weeek, even uglier in person!!
yeh i actually saw this at target yesterday and was a little freaked out since i wore one of these in kindergarten
Target disappointed me considerably. When the "looks" were leaked this past summer they were fabulous and gorgeous, but the pieces they rolled out recently were so blah.
although i do love alice temperley, i tried a bunch of her clothes at target today and they are cheap-looking and very frumpy on me. might look good on a girly-girl who is tall and lithe.
I think this could be very cute on a young woman worn very chic, not trashy.kinda like in the pic.JMO
Ugh. Mixing a blouse with overalls?
Hate it. It just doesn't work for me!
I hate it.. Especially the white stitching!
Horrible! It reminds of what I wore when I was 10. I'm not into this whole resurgence of jumpers and overalls. Just let it die...
It could be cute. It really depends on who is wearing it and the material used. Everyone posting above who saw the dress in the store said the material was awful. Was it because it was cheap looking? Unlined? Just curious. I do sort of like the top underneath it. (Not really my thing.)
Fugly- and reminds me of 5th grade.
I don't like the skirtall at all, but I want to put in my two cents and say that I actually quite liked this GO! International line, much better so than some of the other ones. Perhaps not exciting, but some of the items I thought very cute and practical. I actually have that blouse in black, a antique white high ruffle Victorian blouse, a blue long-sleeve tee, and a belt.
Granted, obviously the quality isn't up to par, but this is Target. I wasn't expecting that for those kind of prices. I figured that on some of the shirts, if I really wanted to, I could go and replace the buttons with something nicer to upgrade it some.
There were a few pieces of this collection I liked but overall the line disappointed me. Some cute shirts and jackets and as opheliadrowning pointed out some new buttons could go along way.
Looks cheap & nasty.
Like the style (though it's a rip off of Lover/Alice McCall) but saw it in Selfridges and the fabric is 100% polyester which put me straight off it.
Sorry...I don't like it one bit! Just not my type of style I guess!
hate it
this takes me back way too far into my childhood
