Jewelry designer Lisa Levine is a traveling woman. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she discovered her talent for invention and decoration at a very young age. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City, but left the program to go to Mexico to fulfill her need for foreign inspiration. She eventually returned to the U.S., specifically to Oakland, California, to complete her training at the California College of Arts and Crafts. And now she's back in NYC churning out more unique earrings, necklaces, bracelets and pins.
Lisa draws inspirations for her seven collections from aquatic life and the geometry of architecture to the symbolic force of chains. Her designs aren't cheap ($100 and up for earrings; up to $800 for a necklace) but they are made for gals who crave funkiness.
