Payless' designer shoe collaborations have been such a success in the past, that they're doing it again for Spring 2008. In addition to Lela Rose and Abaete who have worked with Payless for the past couple of seasons, Fab favorite Alice + Olivia has been added to the roster.
The shoes for Spring debuted at New York Fashion Week just last week: Alice + Olivia has six funky and modern styles inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Lela Rose has eight styles based on the two Hepburns (sporty Katherine and glamorous Audrey), and Abaete has shoes in bold Miami hues.

I just bought a pair of Lela Rose for the fall from Payless. While they are super cute, they do have the tell-tale sign of being uncomfortably cheap.
They're super cute though.

2I used to work at Payless & was always proud to wear their shoes!
3Am I the only one who can't seem to be able to wear heels unless they have a strap across the front? Otherwise they always seem to slip off the back of my foot. It's not a size issue either, I always try to squeeze into the smallest pair I can comfortably fit in. Am I just a shoe moron that apparently doesn't know how to wear slingbacks?
4I just bought a pair of the abaete payless shoes. I like them, they are very cute. though, I agree about the "uncomfortably cheap" comment. They look great, but are uncomfortable in certain areas...
5Jessie M- I always have that trouble especially when I wear peep toe shoes....my heel always slips off the back. I use these little squishy pad things that go under the ball of my toe and it keeps my heel from slipping. They also have some heel squishy as well. Hope that helps!
6I like Payless, I just find they always hurt my feet and break easily...
7i saw a brown tweed pair of lela rose's on the payless website....they are stowed away in my mind for ordering soon =)
8i must admit i love payless.. i always find cute shoes there.. and i like that they have wide widths
9I've never had a problem with my payless pairs. I also have the heel slip issue. Bought a smaller size of a real cute pair with a wooden heel and had to give them away because they were painful to wear. Like, can't walk for more than two steps painful.

16The Lela Rose shoes that are at Payless now are very cute. But I never buy them because they don't use real leather, so the shoes are not very comfortable. That said, the ones on the runway are very cute!
17All 3 of those collections look like standard Payless fare to me, so I don’t really see the point in them. I bought a pair of Abaete boots early in the collection that were nice, and I really like a few of the pairs that Lela Rose just put out but none of these collections look like anyone put much effort into them.

21some are cute, but payless shoes are just too uncomfortable for me, and they fall apart.
22I really like the white pair with the flower by Abaete. But I can never seem to find the cute shoes in the actual stores themselves. I could always order offline but that seems like too much effort for cheaply made shoes. Plus Playless' shoe sizing is always so screwy, sometimes it's a 5 and others a 6.5. Not worth it in the long run.
