Wahoo! I'll admit I'm a bit apprehensive about the "Sex and the City" movie. Don't get me wrong - I can recite scenes and list Carrie outfits with the best of them - I'm just very curious with how the movie is going to turn out. I think it will either be just fabulous or a forced stinker...and of course I'm rooting for the former!
What we have here is a sneak peek at a Carrie/Big moment from the movie. If we get more teasers like this, it will make for fantastic Fall fun. But down to business, Carrie's green getup! In classic Carrie fashion, the look is eclectic, ladylike, but with a good dose of edge. I adore the contrasting green floral prints, and that coat is to die for, though the studded belt and Dior Mad Max heels are a bit much, if you ask me. However, that cheeky Eiffel Tower purse is quintessential Carrie (and Patricia Field) so bring us some more!

Love the show but was never a big fan of the outfits Carrie wore.
1I'd replace the studded belt with a skinny belt (black) and replace those hideous shoes with classy black stillettos.
2The purse is funny..But those shoes..please remove them quickly~!!
3dont like the shoes or belt-i hope they do not go really silly with some of this styling as a few of the outfits towards the end of SATC were silly-x

How can one watch the show and not like th outfits? Wasn't that the whole reason for the craze to begin with?
14What I meant was that you cannot get rid of anything on this outfit because it's her style. This is not stuff every woman can or would want to wear.
15The shoes are Christian Dior...and while I love them and am in the process of scoping them up for myself, they just don't fit the Carrie we have all come to know and love. She wore more dainty shoes in the style of Caovilla and Lacroix, the Dior's are just too much here. The dress is more her tho, not sure of the green jacket to go with, it's a bit overkill. Shame, either ditch the dress and have a much simpler one in it's place and the shoes could work; or ditch the jacket and it's still a possibility, but all 3? Just not our Carrie!

I like all the pieces, just not necessarily together. However, the shoes, (which I think I might be in the minority, I like) are not working with the dress. The studded belt, I also like just not with the dress. Now that purse is awful, I get the quirkiness and all but its not working for me.

19I think the dress/coat combination is gorgeous but I don't like the shoes very much, and definitively not with this dress. The purse has a funny side that perfectly fit with Carrie's character.

22I never loved Carrie Bradsahw's wardrobe before and apparently the movie will be the same. I don't necessarily dislike what she wears, just how she wears evrything together.
23While I wouldn't wear that belt or shoes with the outfit, it fits Carrie perfectly. Carrie can pretty much pull off any outfit.

well. Sex and the City was never about subtlety, I guess. There's something fun about the over-the-top way it interprets trends.

33we all know the show always had a bit of a fantasy element in it and most real women wouldn't wear it but i think that playfulness and fantasy is what makes these outfits so special. so yes, i LOVE it!

39i was never a big fan of the outfits Carrie wore on SATC. they were definitely unique, but i didn't understand the big hype regarding it all. this outfit is no exception - the dress by itself is nice, but adding the belt and shoes ruins it for me. the purse if funky even though i would never carry it.

41i mean i wouldn't wear it but its fabulous classic carrie bradshaw. her outfits were always out of control so there is no reason they should change! each piece by itself might be ok!

44The shoes are unreal but I wouldn't have worn them with that dress. Carrie can pull any look off though..

46I love the dress, the belt and the shoes but I don't like the coat with the dress and I hate the purse.
47I would wear the dress with shorter heels but in the same style, same belt, and a black long sweater or the coat with a white dress... but this is Carrie so, I guess she can pull it off.
