Bird is a well-known Brooklyn boutique, but it has recently taken flight and ended up online at ShopBird.com. The boutique is run by Jennifer Mankins, a former assistant buyer at Barneys New York, who specializes in up-and-coming designers from New York, L.A., Paris, London, Japan, and Scandinavia. She hand-picks and stocks clothes, shoes, and accessories, for both women and babies. The offerings may be small, but they're well-edited: J. Brand jeans and pieces from 3.1 Phillip Lim abound!

Bird does have cute stuff but they are mega-expensive. I was in there this weekend and they have $300 t-shirts, and that's the low end of things.
