So there's been buzz that the stirrup is back, but I'm still convinced that it's all coming from the denim companies, trying to get us to buy another new pair of jeans. Take a good, hard look at these 7 for All Mankind Stirrup Jeans, $168, and ask yourself: is the stirrup jean really, truly going to make a comeback? I think not.

as a child of the 80s, the stirrup cannot, and i mean CAN NOT, make a serious come back. i handled and embraced the return of the short leggings and then skinny jeans, but this is where i must draw the line. the material under the foot is the most annoying thing. if we are going to be forced to look at this, at least pair them with some lime green scrunchy socks.

Only if there were boots involved. I hated how the stir-up pant turned into some weird fashion statement for Grandmother's in the 80's. All I can recall are the truly awful ones in pastel colors.

God, No! What's next - big shoulder pads and frizzy bangs? I used to wear stirrup pants in 6th grade with a gigantic color block Esprit top. Yikes. Who'd want to bring that look back?

this girl i used to work with never thought the trend died - every day with the stirrups and plastic payless shoes with the pleather stripped off the worn down heels, self-tanner oompa loompa shade(also, not washed off fingers), caked on makeup - just saw her the other day, same damn outfit, oh, the visual...... sooo fugly, the cut is terrible, even with boots. i can see why this was thought of for tucking into tall boots, but no way would i wear them......

I wore these in the 80s, but they were soft stretchy fabrics, like leggings, not jeans. I can see how they'd be awesome with boots or booties, and a long top, but I doubt I'd actually buy a pair.

haha that's funny, I was in Norstroms's today and I saw them hanging up and thought "WTF!" I had to go over to check them out to make sure I wasn't seeing things. When I think stirrup I think fat women at walmart.
