Here in Stockholm almost everyone (women) wear opaque tights with dresses and skirts, but that's because opaque is back and it's cold out. But in warm weather do you even need tights?

I'm a Southern-California girl all the way and wearing tights when it's 75 degrees out is ridiculous to me. I've been wearing my tights out the last few nights because it's been a bit chilly...not sunny...and warm. HA.

Do you think you can wear tights with peep-toe shoes?

Anyway, while I agree that tights are typically for cold weather - regardless of that it IS the end of October so if these gals want to wear tights LET THEM WEAR TIGHTS! I'm just saying this because I know that here in Louisiana we don't get too many "tights chances" due to the warm weather, so 70 degrees would definitely be tight-worthy weather.

I dunno Fab, as an LA resident I didn't think it was that sunny and warm the past few days! But maybe I'm just a wimp...

I would NEVER wear tights unless it's cold - I hate them to death!!!

Mollyparnis, I like tights with open toe shoes. Not sure if everyone else does, but I think its looks cute.

i hate wearing tights...but i do like the look of them. living in canada though means i don't get too many opportunities to show off my legs off once the colder weather hits.....so me thinks LA girls should appreciate their weather and their legs! save the tights for rainy days

The last two aren't opaque(correct me if i'm wrong), they're sheer.

Eww, this is a total fashion NO NO to me. I hate it when people where tights and it's NOT freezing cold out.

I always wear black stockings w/ back dress....cuz I think my leg is too pale for it..lol

The thing is, Fashion Week was in Culver City, which is right by the beach, so it starts getting too cold to go bare legged at about 6pm. Everyone was just planning ahead, which is totally necessary in Souther California in October--cold mornings, hot days, cold nights. Mystery solved.

i'm going to be the obligatory voice of reason here and not even address the fashion aspect, but: tights are too hot to wear in warm weather!

tights and open-toed shoes sounds awful! i would NEVER wear them together.

black tights are cute. but they need to be opaque.

tights are definitely in season....you see them everywhere on Gossip Girls, and it's a great way to protect your legs from a harsh autumn wind....or fake another stubbly leg hair day

I've always worn tights...didn't know it was a "trend". I also love the really thick wool ones with patterns in the winter. I have some really awesome plaid ones.

It doesn't matter - as long as you're comfortable, you can wear anything you want and be fashionable.

It was only warm the last day of Fashion Week! The rest of the time it was FREEZING - especially in the tents!

A. You can definitely wear tights w/ open toe shoes, just make sure the seam isn't at the tip of your toe/ sticking out oddly off the edge of your shoe.

B. Rarely, if ever, do I think sheer black stockings look good. I'm not sure why but black is one of the tones I think NEEDS to be opaque, which is why I'm so glad leggings are in. I think the second girl would look nice w/ silver stockings or leggings and the third would look nice with a textured (or not) nude tight.

i've worn black tights with a spaghetti strapped dress and pumps and i thought it looked cute...i think it depends on your own personal style. if it looks good on you, wear it. : )

I am so excited that I can wear tights tonight. I am freezing right now and have to go to a little event and have this great dress and I want to wear tights with it and boots! SO YEAH.. the material is light and it is long sleeve but very thin, so perfect! Thanks!!!

If i see girls wearing Thick Black opaque Tights in the summer/Hot weather , i summons them to my office to explain why..if the Tights are really Thick nylon then i would confiscate them..[secondary school headmistress]
