I was thrilled to learn that Jennifer is the next face of Balenciaga; she is a Fab favorite with her off-kilter fashion choices, piercing blue eyes and black mane. Did I mention she's got sharp acting skills too?
At the Reservation Road premiere she was already modeling pieces from Nicolas Ghesquière's Spring collection. Cocoon-like in form, art-like in print, the modernity of the house suits Jennifer perfectly. But can only she pull this off? Thoughts?

3I just don't understand how this could be construed as attractive. I. just. don't. If for NOTHING else, the pattern of the shoes against the patten of that dress makes me blind... not to mention the fugliness of both regardless.

4i like the form and the fit, i'm just not crazy about the print. the shoes are not good in any situation.
5Ghesquiere's collection was genius, but I can't decide if it's actually wearable. And the fact that Connelly is wearing it straight off the runway (literally like 2 weeks) is a bit disconcerting.

20You are all wrong! Firstly, Jennifer Connely is a devote Balenciaga wearer and she does pull this outfit off. Secondly, yes, it is a little strange but it is right off the runway for next season. I love it and commend her for taking chances with her fashion.

23I didn't like Balenciaga's S/S 08 collection but I have to say that this dress does work on her. Having said that, I still think the collection looks like furnishing fabric badly sewn into Frankenfrocks.

29I don't know anyone could pull this dress off. It is one of the ugliest things I've seen in a long time. It doesn't look like it fits her very well at all. The puffed sleeves and puffed skirt...ick! It looks like something that could stand up on its own in a corner. I do love the shoes however they do nothing for the dress.
She's a beautiful woman with a gazillion and one choices of clothes to wear. This ensemble does absolutely nothing for her. Makes me wonder if Jennifer's stylist was mad at her??

48The dress is not bad in and of itself, although the short hem line leaves much to be desired to compliment in terms of shoes. The loud pattern could have been toned down by also letting her hair down. She looks like she is a drive-in movie waitress.
