A sexy, sultry, saturated crime scene. If that's the look Fiona was going for for this video, she didn't miss a beat. Fiona's glowing eyes — she has the most gorgeous green eyes doesn't she? — add a fabulous creepy factor. I would say that Fiona was feeling quite randy when she, A) wrote this song, then, B) delivered this video. Her lanky limbs, in addition to many other limbs laying about the crime scene, make for an alluring fantasy. Then, girl even does a little strip tease; she was way ahead of Spring 2008's lingerie trend.

Fab, you may have not noticed this but this link plays a series of Fiona's videos. "Tidal" was one of my favorite CDs. I did not care for her MTV tirade though. I'm curious to know what she is doing now.

Crimminal is such a great clip... it talks about such tough things in such a delicate way. I love how it makes you feel that something is really wrong without really showing anything obsscene.
I would much rathe prefer it without the "strip tease" however. Fiona said in a later interview that she regreted doing it. And on the weigh subject, she put on 10 pounds after releasing that video clip (!!!) because she didn't want to be part of all the "you gotta be thin" pressure on young girls.
Anyway, I don't approve of lingerie modelling at all. Would you like your parents/teachers/school mates/... to see you in underwear? Would your boyfriend be okay with that? No wonder it's forbidden in so many countries.
7yeah i love her voice and she definitely has a unique look, but this video honestly comes off as a promotion for eating disorders or something - she is soooo thin and boney here! yuck!
8When this video came out I was 11 and it was the most scandalous thing. gahh 10 years later and I still love it. We need more music like it! She does look anorexic though, ick.
9Not my favorite video of hers, though the song is great. I think her second album "When the Pawn..." surpassed Tidal in so many ways. Overall, I definitely believe Fiona is one of the most brilliant songwriters ever!!! Can't wait for a fourth album...
By the way, saw her on the latest tour--fantastic! She's actually not playing the piano; Nickel Creek performs as her backing band. It's a completely different and amazing interpretation!
