they sold out really fast like 30 minutes or so and the racks were empty. i personally didn't like that collection; too animal-ish and gold-ish for me

We didn't have it in Philadelphia...I was surprised because we had all the past designer collections (Karl L, Stella McC, Viktor & Rolf). I agree with strawberryfield- too much animal print for my liking, but I did want to at least SEE the collection.

i went to the one in south coast, but it was sold out in less than an hour, so i didn't get anything.

i like the zebra dress but i didn't go check it out for myself yet.

i went to the lex ave H&M in manhattan at 12pm yesterday - everything was gone already....

It was ridiculous. Ebay shoppers grabbed the entire racks (the coveted gold dress was gone within SECONDS..not minutes SECONDS). I stood in line for 6 hrs and got nothing i wanted.

never again.

Was first in line at SF (waited since 1:00 am!) and managed to get the zebra dress I wanted (love love love it!)and some lingerie. My entire shopping time took about 2 mins and by the time I turned around to pick up some jewelery, the store was completely wiped out!! The entire collection was probably gone is about 5-6 mins! Unbelievable chaos but was worth the effort!

i went to the h&m shop in GENT (belgium) and it was hilarious!!! So many women! I was there to wait in line an hour before store opens (ok, i'm a freak ) and the minute doors open, the whole crowd was running and screaming (no kidding!) and EVEN FIGHTING to get on the stairs to go on 2nd etage first. I was very quick so I was lucky to grab about 5 pieces (2 long dresses, the black trenchcoat, a leopard short dress and a bra+string) Man, i really had to take care of those 5 pieces and fight for it all the time. After trying it on (the long dress was gorgeous and the trench was so fab!!!) i decided to buy only the trench and to give the rest away to people who get nothing I also wanted to buy the dress but 2 pieces= 300 euro i couldn't afford. a pitty but i'm very happy with my beautiful trench. I wore him today at school

I was surprised to see the pieces in real, they look so much more beautiful than the pictures online!!!! All dresses pure silk, and the details on it, typically cavalli.
Also the 'emballage' (don't know the word in english) was stunning!!!

It was SOOOO worth it! I didn't stand in line or anything. In fact, I got there late and everything was sold out! But I kept seeing people with LOADS of it in their hands. So my friends and I were like, "Dressing roooooooms!!!" I ended up getting the gold dress I so badly wanted! It was insane! By that point it was pure luck. NOBODY has given that dress up!

I tried to shop online, and was logged in well before it started but I was kicked out and it took me 1.5 hours to get back in, but it was all sold out by then!!! NOT FUN

OMG I got there at 9:15am and there was already a line about 70 people deep at the Beverly Center. By the time the store opened there was at least 300 people lined up. When they let people in it was a MAD DASH! Survival of the fittest, animal kingdom style! It was a joke. People were grabbing entire racks of clothing (mostly the fat hags who are hocking the clothes on Ebay for $500)
I have never ever experienced maddness like that in my life! I was actually able to make trades with some ladies for the trench coat and zebra dress - we happened to have each others correct sizes and that was the only civil part of being there! Both items are so fab I can't stand it!
The entire collection sold out in less than 1 hour (with the exception of some bras, panties, and leggings)
At least I know that next time I need to just grab everything I can and then try to trade with someone else.

Holy sh*t ibrndubs!! I was curious about the one in the Beverly Center, since I'm in LA! Wonder about the one on Sunset Blvd, probably the same Chaos!! Well unfortunatly for me I just don't have the extra cash to spend frivulously, trying to find a better job now actually! haha Oh well the line will be in stores for awhile, maybe after all the hype I'll be able to grab some stuff!!

BTW, how much does the gold dress go for? I loove it but don't even know where i'd wear it!! hahahaha

I didn't go. It's not only that I wanted to avoid the crowds, but clothes at H & M (even the designer lines) are usually really poorly made.

I went to the Beverly Center but by the time I got there, it was all gone I was so sad!!! I wanted the gold dress few new years SO BAD! Kinda glad I didn't get there at opening now that I got a description of the madness!

I was really looking forward to seeing this line. His designs are beautiful. I called the stores in my area (Milwaukee WI) and none of them are carrying the Cavalli collection. I was really disappointed to learn that the closest store that had the stuff was in Chicago. By now they are probably sold out, like it sounds like it is everywhere else. I might have to check out E-Bay. Does anyone know if the leopard-print blouse was available thru E-Bay?

I'm going to check it out today in Pasadena...but I bet they will be sold out. Even so, $200 is not a bad price for that gold dress, but still, I don't really need it, so I can't justify buying it anyway!

And as much I love H&M, it would be INSANE to pay $900 for one of their dresses. That is just absolutely ridiculous! The clothes do fall apart!

Went to the Beverly Center during lunchtime. Did some research beforehand, and looks like only the BC and Costa Mesa stores were selling them (only 10 US stores total were selling the line).

Of course when I got there, all the good stuff was gone. But in one of those clouds parting, heavens shining brightly on me moments, a lady put the gold lamé dress back onto the rack.

Not sure what I'm going to wear it to, though. But I love it!

Yihaw...aww I was just about to head over there, I guess I still will. So much for bringing designer clothes to the masses. Honestly, when it's so hard to get your hands on them anyway and on top of it they are only selling the line at 10 stores they can't really claim that they are making fashion accessible.

I understand Cavalli still wants to seem exclusive, and this is how all the designer's lines were released, but it is very disappointing.

I live far away from an H&M now so I had to get my mom to do the fighting for me at the Toronto store! She said it was madness and everything was gone practically instantly.

I got a lot of stuff (zebra scarf, short leopard print dress (same style as the zebra one), tunic dress in the greyish looking pattern, belt shown on the tunic dress on the H&M website, leopard-print jeans, and a men's t-shirt in black) BUT I didn't get the zebra dress I coveted. My mom said the first person to hit that rack picked up ALL the dresses (there were only about eight)!!!!!!!

Now I'm just waiting for my mom to ship me all the items and then figure out what I'm keeping - I'm thinking the leopard print pants might have to go but we'll see.

I'm MOST excited about the dresses and the belt though!!!

Oh and when my mom called me to give me the update she said she hadn't seen a crowd like that since we lived in El Salvador during the civil war. She said it was similar to when someone would shoot into the crowds at a demonstration! LOL

Anywho - I did good but my mom was first in the line-up inside the mall (there were also people waiting outside) and she stuck around for hours trading for stuff she wanted and just waiting by the dressing room for left-overs.

I missed out, I was having my Fraxel treatment. I'll have to check it out one of these days. I don't like fighting the crowds. I'm not very good at that. I'll probably have to bring an entourage with me! Ha Ha!

So my good friend stood in line at the Chicago Store. She was able to get 4 really amazing pieces, lucky me we're the same size.
She did say however their were 3 people in front of her who were talking about the prices they were going to list things for. I wish they could somehow regulate this cuz its so not fair. She said she saw the one man grab 3 of the same dress and a handful of the serpant necklace.

i wasnt such a fan of his collection for H and M. plus the stuff in that store doesnt really fit me well. its sortof sad in a shallow way.

i loved that gold dress, but am not surprised that its been bought and being auctioned on ebay. they should make a limited number of purchases of one style room to try to prevent that from happening.

I tell ya, if I was in line and heard these morons talking about how they were going to sell it on Ebay... there would have been some major brawling going on! hahahaha I can't stand people who blatently are out to rip people off and that's exactly what they are doing. But then again the people that are on Ebay paying those stupid stupid prices are just as bad!!

There aren't any H&M's near me(Portland) ...I'm surprised at how many big cities don't have them.
