Ombre can be pretty, and ombre can be tacky. On this Twighlight Blues Ombre Cardigan ($62), it doesn't quite work like it did in Alberta Ferretti's Fall 2007 collection. It looks unfinished and kind of random on a cardigan. I don't mind the colors though. Do you agree?

10there are very few (VERY FEW) instances in which i think ombre can look nice. this is not one of them. i'm just not a fan of this color technique.
11I do like ombre sometimes, but not on this grandpa sweater..yuck.
12It reminds me of something one might have worn in middle school in the mid-1990s...and it also reminds me of hypercolor, which, EW, is no longer cool unless you are 12 and live in a time-warp.

14It just doesn't work in a knit like this. Ombre looks best in things like chiffon. THe cut of the sweater is just a little sloppy too. Not for me.
15i have to say that this looks like an afterthought, almost as if it had gotten into some kind of laundry accident, and the simple fact that it is a grandpa sweater. it might have worked if the dyeing technique was better executed and was a more fitting cardigan.
i think my main dislike it that it's $62 and you can see through it!!! i hate it when you can see through cardigans like that, i mean isn't that what the v-neck is for? ick.

20Actually I like it ...the only thng that makes it "disturbing and hateful " to look at is because it's paired with an uncomplementing black/white striped shirt that's very "see-through" all the way to the sleeves.
