You went gaga over the lovely pointed toe pumps I featured not too long ago. So my question is: do pointed toe flats have the same effect? When I look at these I see ladylike, flirty and sophisticated. But I always have the slight feeling when I'm wearing a pair that my feet look really long, almost witch-like. Maybe that's just my foot neurosis. Do these make you swoon?

I NEED heels...
I really like the way these look. (I don't wear them, though; I only wear comfortable shoes!)
Personally I find flat shoes more flattering when they've got a pointed toe- rounded toes make my legs look stumpy. The key is for them not to be completely flat, but rather have a half inch heel, and to be a bit more on the almond shaped side rather than witchy points.
I agree with OliveBlack---flat shoes are more flattering with pointed toes. I love them
I have the same neurosis. These just don't do it for me.
Pointed toes look more sophisticated and elongate the foot and leg. Round toes just seem to make my feet look stubby and square are just plain ugly.
These are very cute.
I have the same deal here.. I always thing they make me look short.
Even though I'm fairly tall(5'9"), I still wear at least 3 inch heels. Just because I can.
Thing=think* oops.
I always think that they give me weird, long feet as well. I'm quite short, but if I need to be running around and be dressed for work, I'll go for the pointed flat, but wear long, flared leg trousers or wide leg trousers which hide all but the point of the shoe that way I don't look so witchy!
I love pointed toe flats, but I'm with you! I wear a size 10, so an extra inch looks borderline clown-like on me.
I love some of these... very chic. I am totally a flats girl.
i love flats, these would be a nice change from my round toe ones
laura, i'm the same way....5'10", and i'd die without my stilletos. but i have a pair of pointy flats from payless last year than i wear when i need a break...but want something a little cuter than sneakers.
Ha! I used to have the exact same phobia of pointed heels, but then I received a book all about Audrey Hepburn style as a Christmas present. After seeing the way she pulled those heels off, I was sold!
I suffer from the foot neurosis too.
Love them! I wear heels more often, but I do wear flats a lot lately. They're cute AND comfy.
Sorry, I see pointed toe shoes and all I think is "ow"
i love pointy flats!!! because they look better than round tip flats
Yay! I like pointy toe flats, they help my tiny feet look a little bigger.
Nothing pointy for me...I feel elfish.
Personally, I don't like the pointy toe flats. ON heels its fine, but not on the flats.
I don't like anything dramatically or severely pointy in either heels or flats. I only round toes and almond shaped toes.
I don't like pointy or flat soooo I'm not a HUGE fan...
I don't like pointy.
I dunno. :[
huge flats fan, but i like the round a lot more, since they look "cute"-- and thats what i look for in a flat. but in a heel, pointy rocks.
I am a huge fan! I have at least three pair.
I'm not a big fan of pointy toes whether as flats or pumps, but maybe it's because I wear a lot of skirts and dresses. They definitely look better with slacks. Personally, I love ballet flats.
These just don't do it for me
Point flats are way more comfortable than pointy heels.
Because I have really small feet, I don't think that pointed toe flats make them look big. I really like pointed toe flats, just not any of the ones pictured in this post.
super cute, but im short
If you're 5'5" are you too short too look good in flats?
Not at all! Yes, heels will make you look longer and therefore leaner, but petite gals can still totally rock flats. I love this article by my friend Sara:
How to Highlight Your Unusual Features http://fashion.thebargainqueen.com/2007/05/how-to-highlight-your-unusual...
She basically says to emphasize features that those magazines call "flaws".
