5i love the cut and design, but the colour and shine make it look like a overdone, fancy rain coat. i would never wear it.
6Patent is leather that is treated so it has a high gloss - check out the wikipedia article here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patent_leather).
As for the jacket - I like the idea of a patent jacket and the shape of this one, but I can't stand the drab yellow color. Maybe if it was a different shade, like a deep jewel tone?

17the jacket is so cute... but aren't people over patent yet? it was cool at the beginning when it was only on every third or fourth person. but now? marni made patent cool on skirts for a while, but a jacket like this just looks like a rainjacket that won't keep you dry. cute cut though! i wish it was leather.
