A month after movie-mogul Harvey Weinstein proposed to Marchesa co-designer Georgina Chapman, the two got married at his Connecticut-waterfront estate Saturday night. Chapman designed her own dress, described to WWD as "a stunning, pleated ivory tulle gown," and paired it with Christian Louboutins.
Celebrity wedding guests included Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Watts, Anne Hathaway, and Cameron Diaz, while the fashion world was well represented by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Harper's Bazaar editor Glenda Bailey, Natalia Vodianova, Helena Christensen, Rachel Zoe, and Karolina Kurkova. Weinstein and Chapman have been dating since 2005.

4I read about their relationship a year or so ago in an article questioning the success of the Marchesa line. The article suggested that Weinstein "encourages" the stars of his movies to wear his girlfriend's designs, which consequently inflated the celebrity appeal of the line, and its overall success.
I personally like Marchesa, so who cares how its success came about.

12I don't really think anyone who commented is shallow. It says that he is a movie mogul. That equals money. If we were shallow WE would be the young pretty girls on the rich, overweight, marginally attractive older man's arms. As much as it may disgust you, it is a very realistic thing happening right now and we are just stating that.
Obviously we don't know the dynamics of their relationship, but alot of times the girls fall in love with the money. Just saying...

14Has anyone even heard of Marchesa before Weinstein's stars started wearing the line at red carpet events? I can understand J Lo but Sienna Miller, of all people, wearing Marchesa while she was promoting Weinstein-backed Factory Girl does seem odd...
