Since this week is red week in honor of the holiday season, why not talk a little bit about red hair care maintenance? A lot of people associate red heads with smarts, style and courage, however going red is a big and bold change.
Did you know that the most redheads in the world live in Scotland? Red heads also don't turn grey as they age; their hair turns to a blond color and then straight to white. If you are considering taking the plunge and dying your hair this fab, daring hue, here are a few helpful tips to consider before hitting the dye bottle:

- If you are blond, try strawberry blond or light copper lowlights.
- If you are medium brunette, try light copper or light mahogany highlights.
- If you have dark hair, try dark copper, deep auburn or dark plum highlights.

How weird! I just got my hair colored a dark burgundy yesterday!
1Drew looks scary in that bottom pic. Not because of the red hair, but because she has no eyebrows. Yowza.
2i tink all of them look better before the red hair
3I have had my hair dyed many colors but I like red the best. I do it myself with dye from Sally Beauty Supply...I use Feria Red Hot Red and it's awesome.
It has to be redone every three weeks or so, though, because I have a lot of premature grey
in my base color and it's really obvious when the roots start to come back.
4Nicole looks better with red hair.
5My favorite color EVER to color my hair is burgundy. Mucho sexy, I adore read hair!

I'm not so sure your are right about how redheads go gray. My dad is a redhead and he didn't go blonde. His hair started turning muddy red-brown and then went gray.
7I love red hair...it would not suit me but if it did I would definately rock it
8Redsugar, he may have had more of auburn.
My stepsister is a natural red and my stepmother went blond. I have Scottish roots and my hair is auburn...I can say that I don't see grays appearing, but whites! Tiny blond highlights help alleviate this problem.
A good temp stain I use during the summer when I'm in the sun a lot and it starts to get a lot of blond, I soak my hair in beet juice or cran. If I want more of a burgandy hue, I use red wine. Just some au natural solutions that aren't permanent and therefore not as damaging as dye.
9I'm a natural red and I hope I go blonde.
10I haven't seen any gray yet and I'm 39.
Drew and her eyebrows! Always the same story I wonder who plucks them that much! Horrible!
