Marimekko, a Finnish textile and clothing design company, is lending its signature vivid prints and colors to H&M's Spring '08 collection. Starting in April, the retailer's racks will be filled with popular patterns from the '50s through the '70s. Of the 50-something-piece collection, you can anticipate '70s dresses, tunics, skirts, and shorts. We have a fun(ky) Spring ahead of us!

We'll see... It's either going to be really fun or really fug.
hmm this seems like an old ad they dug out of their files from 1976
...and i wish i could pull off hats
I do love vintage looking pieces. It will be interesting to see how this all looks in person.
I'll have to see the items in person to decide what I think
Yeah, I dunno.
I'm not into wearing prints, so these are not for me. When I was little I had a Marimekko bedspread and wallpaper, though, and loved them.
I was going to say the same thing... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

How can you not love Marimekko? I'm ridiculously excited about this. I'm with you, Rabbit88, I want that black dress as sooon as possible.
I'm definitely going to have to see how these play out in person.
It's not the spring line (which you linked to) which features Marimekko prints. It's the forthcoming summer line, due in April, which will. Official Marimekko press release here.
