So they look like the footwear from Mia Farrow's wardrobe in Rosemary's Baby. There's no doubt square-heel pumps have a vintage feel, but I think they're pretty darn cute. Always professional, sex up this pump with a pencil skirt and ruffly blouse. But don't forget a fabulous vintage coat!

some of these are cute, but i feel a lot of them would be dowdy with a lot of my own style.
1They look "okay." I like a HIGH heel when I'm wearing heels and these all remind me of my grandmother.
2I lvoe square heels! I have 2 pairs already!
3I'm wearing square-toe heels today that my mom got me for xmas! I think they can look matronly if not designed the right way. Mine have a 4" heel, a faded black demin fabric with a pinstripe and gray ribbon weaved through the sides with a bow on top. They're really cute with skinny jeans and a cardigan. Something different in a closet filled with pointy toe shoes, that's for sure.
4I don't think they're dowdy once you wear them with the right outfit. I had 2 pairs of square-toed pumps for work. I pair them with my suits and my work-wear in event organizing /marketing management firm. They are cute and fab!
5Cute when paired with the right outfit...I agree that they're not always dowdy.
6I won't be getting into this trend, I love stilettos too much. Plus I think a sleek think heel is sexier. JMO.
7I love these...I tried some on this weekend and they looked great. But I think they would look best with a pencil skirt. I can't see them with jeans....
8i dunno how much i really like them.. i mean one or two pairs that are shown are OOKK.. but i guess if i found the RIGHT pair it would make a difference.. but none of those for me
just not my style
9Several of these are lovely (BCBG, Chloe, Gucci, Carlos). I think this trend is all about embracing the vintage feel something very feminine but with some substance and not letting it get too dowdy or clunky. It's definitely a fine line.
10Thank G*D for the square healed shoe. there are lots of us who can't walk easily and comfortably on slimmer heals. Now I can look classy and not feel like I'm going to go crashing down any minute.
11I meant square heel in my post, not square toed! But the shoes I'm wearing are both...ha
12everything old is new again.......I think I had an outfit almost identical to Mia Farrow's back in 1969.....
13love it

yah vintage!
Ew. Hate them. They are atrocious. They look like shoes for a pudgy grandma (no hot grandma would wear these).
15they do it on purpose - so we'll buy new shoes...
16so...ok.
Hmmm, don't really dig it.
17The low heeled white ones especially!!....Grandma shoes!! (no offence to the COOL Grannies out there!!)
18Square-heeled shoes can be cute, but there are 2 criteria that they need to meet, 1. the heel has to be high, low square-heels tend to look like grandma heels or even little girl heels, 2. and watch for the CHUNK...chunky heels...EEEK
19only when worn right! I have black really chunky square open toe slingbacks from my mom! They used to be her's until she outgrew them. They are like from the 80s, so they are also vintage! I think it is funny that they are coming back. :]

21Sorry!Double post!
22Can't do it. Sorry.
23gag!!!
24i dont particularly care for these square heels..i think the selection here is grannymacish with the exception of the grey pair but in general i love them...
25i still prefer round or pointy. not square. square is only for my nails.
