Ruffles are nothing new, but Geren Ford introduced ruffles circling the neck with its Geren Ford Ruffle Neck Dress ($170, originally $365). It's the perfect way to dabble with the feminine style without being too trendy. Still, paying a high price for a style of dress that may be outdated sooner rather than later is not a smart way to shop.

I was searching for a dress to wear at a friend's upcoming wedding when I was stopped by this Arden B. Silk Trapeze Dress ($30, originally $64). It's practically a carbon copy of the Geren Ford version! I just had to purchase the silver one, though that color is currently sold out. The black one will look sleek yet girly, perfect for a cocktail party.

I LOVE the cheaper version!
1i love both versions. but the cheaper one is more classic and will last you longer.
2They both look cheap to me. The less expensive version has so much puckering at the seam!
3Very cute!
4I don't like either dress.
5So cute.
6I don't see ruffles
I'm all about the ruffles.
7the less expensive one is a little bit short for my taste.
8i love love love the first dress. the drop waist is so amazing. I agree that the cheaper one looks well cheap. And it is absolutely too short
9I really like both of them. Can't hardly tell that one is cheaper. I've actually been looking for one like it (the cheap one-- don't have that kind of pocketbook) and was wondering where to find it. I'm hoping for somewhere local. I looked all around on http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/bridal_shops_dresses.html but I can't find the perfect one yet. Do you know where you found yours and where I should look? Thanks, Laura
