Ever since Tim Gunn joined Liz Claiborne, he's been facilitating a lot of shakeups. The latest? Poaching Isaac Mizrahi from Target to head up Liz Claiborne's women's line starting in Spring 2009. Claiborne is looking to Mizrahi to reinvigorate the languishing line with his color sensibilities and mainstream appeal.
The Isaac Mizrahi For Target collection, which has enjoyed a strong five-year run, will continue to be available at Target through the end of 2008. Buy it while it lasts!

Huh.
I was never a fan of Isaac's Target line anyway.
1Neither was I...
2ouch.
3yeah.. at first his line was pretty good, he would have some good stuff, but as it went on somtimes i would find myself thinking "seriously? that's not cool"
but his shoes were always good. it was the shoes i loved. and will miss.
aw, so sad..
4Seriously, girls?!! Omigosh, I totally love the Issac Mizrahi line at Target!!! I'm wearing a pair of heels right now at work
I'll be so sad when his line ends...
He always brought a fun, trendier wardrobe to Target's line. I do some of their lines of clothing
(Mossimo, etc) but at least we'll continue to have the Go!International lines that come in.
Right, Fab? Those aren't leaving anytime soon, are they?
5Nooooo. Awwww, True, I never buy it, but yeah, it seems so affordable and nice-looking.
6What I really loved was the line Proenza Schouler did for Target, I wish they's make it a regular feature!!
7Aww that sucks. I just bought an IM wallet at Target today and it's gorgeous. Oh well.
8meh. didn't love his target line either.
9you know - i think that for liz - it's a good thing but for all of us who've seen his stuff at target - it's a shame. i have a travel bag that he designed and i love it - and to know that i'll never get those goods again...soooooo sad
10I like the sunglasses he has at Target. They look fab and they are only $20. I better go snatch up a couple more pairs!
11I have a clutch (in two different colors) from his line at Target. It's a few years old, but I get compliments whenever I use it. People are always shocked when I tell them where I bought it. The clutch is very well-designed and stylish.
12I really love so much of IM line for Target. So many of his things are classic, feminine, and fun with even a vintage touch from time to time. I'm so disappointed to find out he won't be continuing his line with them.
13wow, i'm amazed to see that some of you liked his target goods - I always found them to be just OK combined with low Target quality, colorific styles weren't flattering either and I love color
Not too sure what this means for IM but the Liz line is less contemporary than anything he's known for, when I think of L. Claiborne I think of baby boomer style
14Hmmm. I think I should tell my sister her Target christmas item is destined to become a classic.
15As for IM coming to Liz Claiborne...I'm all for that, actually.
I like’s Issac’s Target line. He always had a few cute & work-wear ready items in each of his collections. I particularly liked to hit up these items once they had gone on the 30 or 50% off racks though. I will miss him…
16Some of his stuff was really cool! I have this pink with a purple and two metallic stripes bag that is cute!
17sad, whats target gonna do now? everything else they have can be SOOOO frumpy....
I liked some of that stuff, and it was so cheap. you could always find a little cute somthing in there, after its gone...target wont have much for clothes...
18i was never a huge fan of his target line, but i did like his shoes and some of the accessories. i don't think i'll cry over it or anything, but i will miss his shoes there hahaha
19I'm not upset about this...I don't think I own any of his Target line pieces.
20It will be interesting to see good design meets good quality. I think the result is that my wallet may lose some weight...
21DAMMIT! i knew this would happen but i still feel betrayed. oh well its back to the mall for me.
22Ughhh...how annoying, I was enjoying getting all those fab clothes for so cheap...
23Oh my I love his stuff...especially his shoes. Better rush out to Target tomorrow.
