Spring Peek: Acrylic Accents
This transparent material was one of the key players in the dominant futuristic trend on the Spring runways. If full-fledged Barbarella-inspired outfits aren't your style, you can play with this trend via acrylic accents.

acrylic stuff looks tacky, plus it's totally uncomfortable.
1For some reason the first thought that comes to mind when i see acrylic shoes are Stripes, hookers and drag queens (they are the only ones i know who actually have them)
2I love platforms...I think that these shoes are cute, BUT I don't think that you can wear them with anything too tight or too sexy. They have to be played down with a flowy wrap dress or wide leg trousers.
3I totally agree with you, Tnkrbelli. If you try to pull off acrylic shoes with anything you wouldn't wear to a family event, it just looks tacky.
