Dita Von Teese and Fab fave Diane Kruger, both in chic black, looked on as John Galliano kicked off couture week. Against a set of dark draped fabric, intricately embroidered gowns in all shades of the rainbow — chartreuse, persimmon, fuchsia, and canary yellow included — popped. Gustav Klimt-inspired accoutrements, leopard print, and feathers all got special nods: the latter even adorning eyelashes in fluorescent shades.

Galliano's love affair with vertiginous platform shoes continued, this time with cut-out wedge heels and color-contrasting cap-toes. All in all, an opening that didn't necessarily venture into new frontiers for Dior couture, but a strong opening nonetheless.

Oh! Such lush colors and fabrics. Not too fond of the upside down bowl looking hats or the feathers on the lashes (so overdone). That aside, the collection is genius as usual!
1Love all the bright colors.
2Hmm not sure...
3I love couture shows. Every year Dior is one of my faves. Diane looked absolutely amazing, I liked her better than Dita. Oh and Natasha Poly opened the show
Love her, one of the best models right now
4Interesting designs. Now I wonder, if these designs were to be brought forward by a contestant in Project Runway, what would the judges think?
