Ever since I found out about Topshop's capsule collections, I have been anticipating Jonathan Saunders' work . . . until now. This Jonathan Saunders for Topshop Dress ($149) is unattractive and unwearable, in my opinion. He has designed such gorgeous frocks for Thandie Newton and the likes, but when it comes to us less-wealthy customers, he falls short. What's your take?

its neat but id never wear it.
I don't think it would be very flattering.
i would wear it, to a concert or something like that
but the pattern is unwearable
it's a little much for me.
I think maybe if you belted it with a thick black patent belt at the waist and scrunched it up a bit to make it shorter, it just might work. That way it won't look like a picture of your va-jay-jay on your crotch.
I'd wear red heels with it and a funky black blazer.
it rocks i would totally wear it, with leather thong sandals and a head wrap and hoops.
That is SOOO UGLY>>> it looks like a totem pole exploded on a poor dress... ooor it looks like a transformer.... haha its So ugly...
For some unknown reason I like it
Ewww nooo!
It looks like a totum poll gone wrong!
omg perfect score, i TOTALLY thought that it looks like a transformer!
I'm so indifferent to it. I don't hate it but I certainly don't love it.
Hello Edina Monsoon! That said, I love it.
Eh not for me...
Interesting....but not wearable.
Wow, that is UGLY...
it looks like a crappy wall hanging
hate it
I agree with syako...it could look great with red shoes and a blazer. I'd maybe buy it if it was at Forever 21 for $20 bucks, but that's about it...
I feel like I shouldn't, but I LOVE it. With the right accessories, I think it could be really fun. Hard to pull off probably, but fun.
Not very cute
hmm not for me. The pattern just immediatly draws your attention to the hip-area and I don't think that the tight fabric makes it any more flattering, I'm sorry but even the mannequin looks a little bottom-heavy!
wtf!!!!!
Ugly. It reminds me of ancient Egyptian wall drawings.
Ummm - probably not. It reminds me of Transformers but it is not "more than meets the eye"!
i would totally wear it if it was an above the knee dress or t-shirt but as that length HORRIBLE
i would totally wear it if it was an above the knee dress or t-shirt but as that length HORRIBLE
It just looks like some-one was in a rush, put load of shapes together and not been bothered to finish the pattern but maybe it would look better on some-one. I personally hate it.
uhh it looks like a scary clown tattooed to your tummy.
I totally see a evil clown face with the yellow circle as its nose........scary stuff
i always try to picture someone that it would look good on and i've got nothing - so i am going to say that i don't like it .
As others have said, on most body types that is not going to be a flattering dress.
reminds me of a walking totem pole
Haha agree with the totem pole comment, I don't see a single positive quality in that dress.
I definitely agree that it is reminiscent of a totem pole...and the Transformers toys!
Gross. I don't think it would look good on anyone.
Well, sometimes you have to try things on before actually giving an opinion but I'm pretty sure this is awful.
i would wear it if ..the neckline was boatneck ....it was shortermaybe if it was cut right around the area where the transformer legs meets the middle...lol close to the two small red"thingy " ...dont know where i wld wear it to though ...But it wld be a hit at a robot conference ....sad very sad ....
Wow, who wants to look like a human totem pole?!?
It's terrible. Completely unflattering.
it's different and interesting but I don't like that it's a t-shirt dress. I would wear it though...
