How can we forget when Rihanna overpowered the red carpet in her emerald green satin Dolce & Gabbana gown? It looks like Billy Joel's wife, Katie Lee Joel, was green with envy because she selected the same mesmerizing dress for a recent event. Both ladies look stunning, but I don't understand why Katie blocked her dress with her hair. Rihanna is more polished while Katie's more at ease. Which gal wins you over?

15@syako i disagree to an extent. what? you can be slim and be curvy. i consider myself a curvy girl because i'm pear-shaped like beyonce and jlo BUT i'm 115 lbs. and 5'4". i'm skinny but i'm still curvy. i've got a pretty healthy butt if i may say so myself:)
however, i agree that rihanna isn't REALLY curvy. she has wide hips but no butt. i don't like the way her body is shaped either but i like her in the dress more because the red lipstick and updo works better with the dress. i think the other woman's body is shaped nicer though so the dress fits her better but overall i prefer rihanna

20I might be bias, but a curvy woman is always going to fill out a dress better in my opinion. And it could be the way she is standing but the dress looks too long for Katie.
21breakbrooklyn - I agree with you, to an extent. You can have curves and be skinny, but pretty much when people say "curvy" today they mean someone with curves AND meat on their bones (i.e. America Ferrera and perhaps JLo). Rihanna has no meat on her bones and frankly if you're 115 I'd assume you don't too

36Neither - I just don't like this dress. I think the color is beautiful and the neckline is as well but I don't like all the folds...it would have been better as a simple sheen gown.
37Katie's hair covered the gorgeous neckline of the dress. Plus I think Rihanna's curves really accentuate the folds of the dress and gives her a great mermaid look.
38I think it looks great on both of them, but Katie should not have let her hair cover it so much! But the dress does look beautiful on both women.
39I voted for Rihanna however Katie also looks gorgeous. I like the way the emerald color looks against Rihanna's skin tone; it makes the color look bolder.

48Rihanna looks ridiculous (apparently I'm in the minority!). I thought it was common sense to accentuate your curves only if you're balancing them out? How is having really REALLY wide hips and next-to-nothing chest attractive? Normally she looks beautiful, but this particular look just makes her chest look bizarrely small and her hips bizarrely large!
Maybe I'm wrong, though!
49Neither. Rihanna's figure looks ridiculous in this dress, and I really wish Katie had done something with her hair.
