We caught up with designer Zac Posen right before he presented his Spring 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week. His inspiration? Romance and softness. Watch on to learn who Posen told us was his muse this season, to hear all about his friendship with Naomi Campbell, and to find out his craziest Fashion Week experience.
Mark your calendars: the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on Dec. 10. And the cast of models is nothing short of angelic. We're talking Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsay Ellingson, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, and Behati Prinsloo — among a whole host of whom are surely Angels in the making — have all been confirmed to strut, sashay, and dance down the catwalk in one of the sexiest shows of the year.
And if the sketches are a glimpse of what's to come, we have a feeling this year's show will do anything but disappoint. Catch the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on CBS at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Like Stacey Bendet herself, Alice + Olivia Spring '14 delivered charm — but not without whimsy. Per usual, Bendet struck that perfect balance between the totally wearable and the statement-making, a balance that's won celebrity fans like Jamie Chung, not to mention countless fashion bloggers — who all showed their support at today's presentation.
Girls with a penchant for party dresses will find exactly what they're looking for in this mix of bustier tops, full-length skirts, lacy gowns, and frilly skirts; but there's a crop of slicker stuff, too. You might be surprised to see menswear-inspired leather trousers, slim white blazers, and sportier bomber jackets from the label that's practically a mecca for the girlie-girl, but we're not complaining. The more minimalist cuts and neutral palette make Bendet's series of accessories — embellished clutches, metallic pointed-toe pumps, and lace-ups heels — that much more eye-popping.

Olivier Theyskens had the '90s on his mind when he designed Theyskens' Theory's Spring 2014 collection. A formfitting black camisole over a navy t-shirt and sheer pants created a sort of modern facsimile of the baby-doll dress, and there was more than one shirtdress and generous sweater here. Watch on to see the entire collection in action!
It was luxe hippie voyage at Donna Karan for Spring 2014, with shades of ocher, terracotta, and raw sapphire mingling in prints that recalled Southwestern pottery and were inspired by a recent trip by the designer to India. The whole collection had a weathered-by-the-sun sensation, down to the beaten-up leather hats pulled low over the models' sunkissed faces. Organic wooden necklaces were displayed in plunging, open tops that made the neck and sternum the sensual focal point of the collection. Fans of Karan will have plenty to love come Spring in that mix of ease and chic that she does so well.
Fashion Week wasn't all that kept our favorite celebrities snapping on Instagram the past few days. Stars like Beyoncé and Rihanna flaunted their decadent accessories while out and about, Nina Dobrev embraced the local style in Tokyo, and Rita Ora shared a snap with an old familiar face.
London, Paris, Vancouver, Oslo — Selena Gomez is currently touring the globe, and she's doing it in a variety of spotlight-worthy styles. So far, the singer has showed off three eye-catching ensembles. The first was all about the monochrome: a white embellished bralet, white harem pants, a floor-length vest, and studded high-top sneakers. Selena's next look was a sheer white tee with a pair of black leather high-waisted Houghton shorts and lace-up boots. It seems she's keeping with the black and white trend even on stage. In the singer's final look, she matched the same sheer white tee with white high-waisted minishorts, creating yet another leggy look. These outfits are vastly different than Selena's beautiful Versace gowns, but they reveal her harder, more playful side, which we love seeing.
With rocks on the runway and fog wafting in, 3.1 Phillip Lim went back to the elements for Spring 2014. Water appeared in wave motifs on the bottom of boxy tops, while fire appeared in the flickery edges of moire leopard print. There were plenty of Lim's sharply cut trousers and moto jackets in the mix, alongside loose shift dresses. A new doctor's bag shape appeared for purses with charms hanging sweetly on the outside, for a style that is sure to be a hit.
Coco Rocha kicked off Zac Posen's Spring 2014 runway in an immaculate hand-plisséd silk chiffon dress. With pale florals and ethereal fabrics, Posen — who, according to show notes, sought to evoke a modern-day Sarah Bernhardt — provided the requisite romanticism we've come to expect from him.
