Pastels are clearly having a moment on the runways — thanks to designers like Rebecca Taylor, Rodarte, and Karen Walker — so needless to say, we're fully embracing our girlie side this Spring. With Easter just a few weeks away, we can't think of a reason not to jump-start the candy-colored season with a soft lemon shift, pretty lilac top, or baby blue dress. Tip: since pastel hues tend to have a powdery finish to them, make sure to choose a color that complements your skin tone. Blue and lilac are flattering on most skin tones, while yellow and coral hues tend to be a little trickier. If you're still a little nervous about trying out the trend, try injecting small pops of it via shoes, jewelry, and handbags before you dive headfirst into the trend. We promise there's something to suit everyone inside — click through to see and shop our top 17 pretty pastel picks now.
Getting bored with your little black dress? Allow us to shed some light on the latest trend in cocktail attire: the edgy, rocker-cool leather dress. We saw tons of them on the runways from designers like Calvin Klein, Derek Lam, Céline, and more — but their wearability transcends the catwalk. Whether you go with an all-leather piece like Olivia Palermo's or try the trend in a smaller way, like Jessica Alba's LBD with a leather bra top, it's a look that will definitely have you standing out from the crowd (in the best possible way). From the girlie-glam looks of Lauren Conrad and Kerry Washington to the full-blown fashion-renegade vibe given by Kristen Stewart and Doutzen Kroes, the leather dress has proven to be surprisingly versatile, especially when worn with a great pair of heels and minimal accessories. Click through to see 24 style-setters who have reinvented the LBD wheel, and then shop our editors' picks.
Our favorite snap-happy celebrities have been ringing in Spring in style this week! Whether they were hitting the beach like models Toni Garrn, Justine Ezirak, and Bar Refaeli or spending time with famous friends à la Kim Kardashian and Alber Elbaz, it was clear that they were out and about having a blast. Lauren Conrad hit up the Holi festival (and got covered in color), while Cara Delevingne linked up with Elmo in the streets of NYC. Rachel Zoe unwrapped a very special package from Tiffany & Co., and Chrissy Teigen spent time in the kitchen in her usually silly style.

After showing his spectacular Fall 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week, Jason Wu brought his glamorous (and first-lady-approved) designs to San Francisco for an SF Opera and Neiman Marcus-sponsored event titled The Art of Fashion: Jason Wu. City Hall's North Light Court served as the elegant, dramatic backdrop, and the evening marked Wu's first-ever time showing a collection in the Bay Area — and we can safely say it was a huge success. The collection was a feast for the eyes. The floor-length gowns, skinny tailored trousers, and opulent silhouettes trimmed in feathers and fur garnered gasps, excitement, and applause from the audience, while the booming Amy Winehouse soundtrack kept the crowd feeling upbeat.
In addition to being a beautiful showcase, the event also served to support a great cause: proceeds from the evening benefited San Francisco Opera Guild's music instruction programs, which help bring arts education to more than 50,000 students in over 200 schools throughout Northern California. Fashion and philanthropy? You can't really beat that. See all the best photos from the event — along with some up close and personal snaps from our Instagram feed — when you click through now.

Furthering our style crush with every appearance, Diane Kruger pretty much nails it every time she steps out on the red carpet. Case in point: all of the looks she has worn promoting her new movie, The Host. It's a lineup of the chicest kind of dressing, which made it practically impossible to pick a favorite — so we had to round them up and show you all of them! Take a look and let us know what you think below. On Allison McNamara: Bebe top and vest, Robert Rodriguez pants.
Sienna Miller's latest is right on par with our Saturday brunch dress code: look great without trying too hard. By balancing slouchy boyfriend denim with more pulled-together pieces, she captured the cool-girl balance between laid-back and totally chic. The trick is in juxtaposing tomboy-fit jeans with a more feminine top and statement shades; though, the biggest styling win might just be those classic black pumps. Thanks to her ankle-rolled jeans, her heels become the focus of the look, intimating a kind of Parisian brand of sophistication that's a little more nonchalant and perfect for your off-duty days. We've done the legwork; just shop our editors' picks to channel Sienna's carefree kind of cool.Shop clockwise from top left: Joie front-pleat cap-sleeved blouse ($188), American Apparel Squire sunglasses ($50), Argento Vivo hammered drop earrings ($88), Lucky Brand floral-embossed belt ($50), Coach Legacy leather duffle bag ($348), J.Crew Everly suede pumps ($245), Zara tomboy-fit jeans ($80)
Consider Zara's TRF April edition a look at Spring's pastels, florals, and '90s-inspired denim through a cooler lens. Essentially, if you've deemed any of the season's big trends too sweet or maybe just not wearable, this lineup could quickly change your mind with its easy, albeit eye-catching, ways to outfit everything from softer color palettes to printed sandals. White boyfriend jeans are topped with a sporty zip-up that's washed in a global, graphic pattern; flower-print separates feel more sporty than girlie, thanks to a sweatshirt-style top; and acid-washed denim gets a moto-inspired makeover. In short, Zara does what it does best (yet again), turning out the most wearable versions of even the trickiest trends and styling it all just right. Needless to say, the lineup invokes an immediate "we have to have it" reaction to just about every piece. Click through and you'll see just what we mean.
