On Saturday night, some of our favorite celebrities hit the town (more specifically, the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills) for Clive Davis's annual pre-Grammy party. Nicole Richie went sleek and sophisticated in a leather croc-embossed Tom Ford dress, Chrissy Teigen chose an embellished sherbet-hued gown, and Jennifer Hudson had a princess moment in a whimsical chiffon confection. Get a glimpse at what Clive Davis's pre-Grammy party attendees donned for the evening's festivities. Then, stay tuned for all of our Grammys red-carpet coverage tonight!
Clive Davis's annual pre-Grammy party always promises a stylish music industry turnout, and this year's attendees did not disappoint. Now, we're zeroing in on two of the evening's most glamorous looks. Miley Cyrus chose a black Emilio Pucci halter gown, while Katy Perry stepped out in a white long-sleeved Rafael Cennamo gown with pearl embellishments. While it may be a battle of the floor-length gowns, that's where the similarities end. Miley's embroidered gown — from the designer's Spring '13 collection — exuded serious sex appeal, and Katy's Fall '13 pick was all about ladylike elegance with gorgeous pearls details. It's time to turn it over to you: which singer do you think was best dressed at Clive Davis's pre-Grammy party?
For Joseph Altuzarra Fall 2013, the lady is a vamp — and she's the slickest street-savvy vamp in New York City. This collection could stand alone purely on its attention to gorgeous black-and-white leather treatments, but instead, Altuzarra went above and beyond. The expert tailoring and standout fur outerwear have us convinced that there's never been a better time to channel a little bit of that luxe Cruella de Vil glamour. Take a look at the complete collection now.

We look to Rebecca Taylor season after season to stock our closets with effortless cool-girl wares. For Fall '13, that means we'll be shopping the label's moto jackets and perfect day-to-night dresses, finished with slick leather details — all of which point to the designer's sharper, city-sleek collection. This season, Taylor's girl is growing up, edging toward a more downtown sensibility, and serving up that signature sweetness with a tougher counter. Watch the video for a complete look at Rebecca Taylor's Fall '13 lineup.
Olivia Palermo's solidified her status in the fashion world as a trendsetter with impeccable taste and a killer wardrobe — so when we spotted the style setter front row at Tibi, we had to know just how she's staying so chic and keeping warm at New York Fashion Week. Trending toward a more utilitarian girl, Amy Smilovic's brand of American sportswear got a dose of the '90s for Fall 2013 — albeit with a polished update that's made Tibi a favorite among the style set like Olivia Palermo (who sat front row with beau Johannes Huebl). She played, as always, to function and fashion — never forgetting what girls actually want to wear and how they want to feel in clothes. She never sacrifices comfort for style, but doesn't have to — she blends them into sophisticated and impossibly cool pieces. Case in point: this season's thigh-high leather boot, which she crafted without a heel. The silhouettes and palette were both minimalist; Amy worked in predominately black and white, with brilliant shades of emerald green and cobalt blue, but only in small doses. While the Spring was rife with playful prints, this lineup was all about texture and proportion. Working in a stricter color scheme meant that we're drawn most to Amy's cool layers. Quilted vests, moto jackets, draped dresses, knit pullovers, neoprene sweatshirts, and slouchy tomboy shorts finished in leather were effortlessly combined throughout the collection, making it easy to imagine mixing and matching the pieces in your own closet.
- Trends: Leather, minimalism.
- Colors: White, black, emerald, olive, cobalt, and gray.
- Shoes: Cutout black booties, buckled ankle-strap heels, flat thigh-high leather boots.
- Key look: The olive and black moto jacket paired with white and black leather-inset trousers.
Shailene Woodley is one of the most talented actresses of our generation, and we were lucky enough to catch up with the stylish star backstage at Rebecca Taylor's Fall '13 runway show. While we happen to think that The Descendants star has a natural talent for putting together cool-girl ensembles — like the slick leather moto jacket and black pants she sported today — Shailene said that she's just begun to "appreciate fashion" in a way that she hasn't before. She also shared with us her tip for staying chic in the cold, as well as her very unexpected style icon. Push play to see our interview with Shailene now.
Monique Lhuillier held nothing back for Fall '13, showing a collection filled with sumptuous fabrics and decadent details. The designer kicked off her runway show with a Winter white story, highlighting floral-printed sheath dresses and trousers paired with vivacious colorblocked furs. However, it's no surprise that the main event was Lhuillier's eveningwear segment — in addition to showing the stunning floor-length gowns we're used to seeing, the designer switched up her routine with an array of brilliant red-carpet-ready dresses in shorter tea lengths featuring sheer tulle and intricate lacework. It's no wonder the designer has celebs and fashion girls alike fawning over her gorgeous wares.
- Trends: Shorter, tea-length gowns, brocade, decadent embroidery, colored fur.
- Colors: Emerald, white, gold, black, purple, scarlet red.
- Shoes: Sexy lace, wrap, and cutout sandals and heels from Lhuillier's new shoe line.
- Who should wear it: The red-carpet A-list ladies like Marion Cotillard, Kerry Washington, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
- Editors' pick: The black strapless shorter-length gown with gold detailing was made for award season.
