On her way into her Santa Monica office, Jessica Alba showed off a casual look that was a happy marriage between sporty and chic — a mix we've been trying to master ever since sneakers became acceptable outside of the gym. The actress kept her style sophisticated thanks to these green houndstooth jeans by Big Star ($106), then pulled in laid-back flair with her black high-top Isabel Marant sneakers. Jessica completed her outfit with a two-toned Gerard Darel coat and two bags: an envelope-style crossbody and a black perforated satchel. Score Jessica's exact houndstooth jeans to work with high-top sneakers (just like she did) or pair them with a silky blouse and pumps for a work-appropriate spin. For a night out, we'd match these printed jeans with a leather tee and killer heels.
Now that Punxsutawney Phil has predicted an early Spring, we can start getting excited for all the lovely pastel hues that come along with the sunny season. Besides being a beneficial sleep aid, antiseptic, and stress reliever, lavender is also a lovely, feminine hue that has the power to look gorgeous on nearly everyone. We saw the pretty purple shade on the runways at Chloé, Nina Ricci, Christian Dior, and more, and now, just ahead of the early Spring, we've rounded up 12 of our favorite pieces that are begging to be added to your warm-weather wardrobe.
Last night's The Face premiere drew some of fashion's most recognizable model faces to the red carpet, including the show's "mentors" Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, and Crystal Renn. Fashion reporter Allison McNamara caught up with Coco and Karolina about what it really takes to be a supermodel, how competitive the whole process really was, and more. Click play to see what The Face beauties had to say — and don't forget to tune into the show's premiere on Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Oxygen.

Zac Posen is entering the "advanced contemporary" clothing category with his Zac Zac Posen collection, and the pieces will be priced around $500. The new line is meant to compete with the likes of Tory Burch and M Missoni, and will feature everything from black leather motorcycle jackets and leather pants to his signature stretch jersey dresses. Unlike his lower-priced Z Spoke collection, which is now in limited distribution, this endeavor is aimed to marry the idea of high quality fabrics, the potential for eveningwear, and design versatility. It also happens to be totally in sync with Posen's other commitments. Namely, the designer has replaced Michael Kors on Project Runway, and it seems this is the time for Posen to tackle the "golden price point" (as he deems it) just as the brand gains wider mainstream exposure. The first Zac lineup is set for a Pre-Fall release, and has already been confirmed to sell in Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Intermix, Scoop, and Harvey Nichols.
Jessica Chastain, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Anne Hathaway, and many more famed beauties took a page from the same fashion playbook when they worked black-on-black ensembles for different occasions. Jessica recently strolled the streets of Paris in a sophisticated black pairing, while Sarah Jessica attended an NYC event looking sweet in a little black lace dress. Although all the monochromatic looks you're about to see have color in common, each managed to induce major style envy in totally unique ways. Whether you lean toward streamlined styles or plush pairings, get a closer look at and draw inspiration from 13 head-to-toe black ensembles we're loving right now.

It's hardly fair when we're still bundling up, but H&M's forecasting a Summer that's rife with breezy pants and maxis, printed florals, and a little leg. The brand is giving our warm-weather styling a dose of the Far East with open, kimono-style jackets and gauzy, slouchy pants. Even in the accessories, we get a little of that Asian infusion — beautiful tasseled earrings and flat, minimalist sandals to complement those inspired silhouettes. For a more traditional nod to Summer, look to the line's well-worn denim shorts, albeit finished with socks and heels (not your usual beachy espadrilles). Together, it's both laid-back and modern — and like the clothing we most look forward to wearing in Summer, it's easy. Click on to see the gorgeous Julia Hafstrom show off the collection.
When we kick off New York Fashion Week this Thursday, we're getting much more than just the Fall '13 collections. While Fashion Week's function is, of course, an opportunity for our favorite designers and upcoming talent to showcase their latest looks, celebrity fashion and street fashion have become just as much a part of the action. Street style outside the tents is arguably a show unto itself with the personal stylings of the industry crowd proving just as noteworthy. We also can't deny the power of the celebrity draw — from Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, and more of our favorites, you never know who will be popping up front row (and what they'll be wearing). And if we turn our attention back to the runways, it's the catwalk that forecasts the clothing we can look forward to wearing the following season (and it's never short of awe-inspiring to see what talent like Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, Diane von Furstenberg, and Michael Kors will deliver). Obviously, it's no easy task to pick apart our favorite aspects of the fashion calendar — so we're turning it over to you. Which part of Fashion Week are you most excited to see?
At last night's The Face premiere in NYC, the red carpet might as well have been a catwalk. The show
"mentors," including industry heavyweights like Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha, and Crystal Renn (who could have very well been giving a master class in runway form as they posed for cameras and air-kissed down the arrivals), glammed up to promote their new show — and showcase their own eventwear M.O. Naomi went the elegant, albeit sexy, route in a body-hugging Alaïa gown, while Coco Rocha played the more dramatic angle in a sheer Emilio Pucci gown. As for Karolina, the leggy blonde opted for a flirty, brilliant blue, fringed Dimitri dress — which proved a perfect option for showing off her stems. Step inside to see the rest of the glamorous arrivals face off — including an appearance from Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo — then vote for the evening's best-dressed supermodel.
