Listen up: Alexander Wang is lending his all-black-everything aesthetic to an exclusive Beats by Dre collection. The Alexander Wang-branded portable Beats Pill speaker ($299), in-ear Urbeats earbuds ($149), and over-ear Beats Studio headphones ($449) will be sold in very limited quantities.
Beats by Dre's most popular products will be draped in matte black with pale gold accents for the collaboration. Each item also includes Alexander Wang's signature black stingray case with a metal gold keychain and zipper. We don't know where or when they'll be available, but Beats by Dre did announce that the Alexander Wang collection will be up for sale at a private, one-day event before being offered to the public. There's more than one way to button your shirt. That was the lesson on Spring '14 runways, where a sexier way to wear a button-down gave the crop top a run for its money. At Rodarte, Alexander Wang, and Zero + Maria Cornejo, models were sent down the runway with just the top buttons fastened on their blouses, leaving the midriff completely bare.
After a little digging, we realized we'd seen this look before.
While the rest of us will have to wait until early 2014 to get our hands on the styles walking down the runways this week, Rihanna proved she has some special privileges. The pop star stepped out in London wearing an Alexander Wang sweatshirt that the designer debuted just days ago. She paired the printed top with coated J Brand skinnies and white pumps, a covered-up look that belied the "parental advisory" label. What do you think — will you be buying a similar style once they hit stores?
