From wide belts to footless leggings, there's no arguing that 1980s styles are sneaking into the Fall 2006 fashion trends. But seriously, can we really herald the return of leg warmers? For years, fashion magazines have been warning that they might come back into style, and just yesterday, I spotted these Alice & Olivia Leg Warmers for sale here for $117. Though I'd never pay that much for leg warmers, there's just something about this silly fad that makes me want to dress my lower legs in these cozy tubes of warmth. What about you? Love it or hate it?
actually kind of cute...
1Lets not and say we didnt...
2I can't go there. When I think of leg warmers, I think of jazz hands.
3I like leg warmers and all but I don't see anybody wearing them.
4Leg warmers, I love them. But should only be worn seriously by ballerinas.
5Right peep. Or Jennifer Beals.
6True, true.
7I was IN to leg warmers big time when I was 12 and Jennifer Beals was the shizz. But, then I also loved my Cabbage Patch Doll, and I'm not about to start dragging her around again either.
8I cannot begin to imagine wearing leg warmers here in the southeast....where it is supposed to get up to 90 degrees today. Plus, they are so ugly.
9I bet if you slap it on some celebrity holding a cabbage patch kid it would be in again.
10LOL tabloidprincess! If that happens, I'll boycott that trend too.
11Sadly, I'm thinking practical when I say I *might* consider wearing them. I'd probably laugh if I saw someone walking down the street though. It might be nice during winter and you have a skirt on.
12I've been wearing leg warmers for years. But I wear them for just that reason - to warm my legs when I'm walking to work in the dead of winter. I wear them under my jeans where nobody can see them. They're very cozy and cute but I wear them for comfort, not style.
13Ahhhhhh, 80's aerobic flashback.
14I don't know about paying $117 for something that will probably get you mocked out on the street. I don't dress myself to please others, but I have my limits...
15Oh no no no...you cannot be serious! I can't believe the 80's came back at all, let alone leg warmers! I agree with the above posts...leave it to ballerinas. Bad bad bad.
16I'm not totally against the leg warmer trend, though I don't have any myself. But I HATE this pair, they remind me of the striped tights on the Wicked Witch of the West!
17my grandma wears these year round..poor woman is always cold..
18Love 'em, but I'd need to be able to buy the legs to go with them too!
19Dare I say that I miss leg warmers? They were the best when it was freezing cold out. I'm not down with all the eighties stuff but leg warmers are great if you live in a cold region!
20I like it! I knitted some a year ago and now they're back!
21Please no! These were an atrocity in the '80s, they are still an atrocity today.
22Okay, send me to hell, I loved the leg warmers and slouch socks. They were cute as a button on me. lol

23I love legwarmers. I think they are cute!
24uh, no, not for me. BTW, jinx I wanna hear you sporting these
25DesignRchic, I don't know if I can still pull it off, but at the time, I was into them. They are warm in the winter!

26Everything comes and goes and then comes back...
27I actually still have a few sets of leg warmers
Funny, I dug them out of storage just a day or two ago.
It's starting to get cold here, and I am a small gal and get cold very easily.
I love them, and hubby always comments when I put them on...
on another note :ding:
Freakin beatles hairstyles I see on lotsa boys now - just messy looking to me.
