BET Awards: Beyonce's "Get Me Bodied" Costume

While Beyonce's gold sci-fi performance outfit at the BET Awards may seem over-the-top - it's so cool to see someone wearing the gold mirrored leggings from Balenciaga's Spring collection! I know they are extreme but I give props to performers like Beyonce for bringing them to the stage to razzle dazzle us. How else are we going to see runway looks the real way. Well, you know how I feel - do you love it or hate it?

Well, personally I think the outfit is BANGIN'!!! No one else can rock that but Beyonce'. Regardless of what anybody else has to say, that outfit is gorgeous, and Beyonce' is the one who can rock it better than anybody!!!

Regardless of personal taste its surprising to hear so much criticism regarding who ripped off who. I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but the music biz has been doing this for years. Even most songs these days are based upon an older tune. Its important to remember the originals but its also important to be able to accept new/old concepts... (properly credited of course) Finally Did anyone perchance happed to look up who made the outfit to see if there was any connections (designer wise) to the similar outfits from the past?

I honestly do not believe that Beyonce knowingly and intentionally copied Kylie. I doubt her and her choreographer sat down with this sinnister plan to rip off Kylie. How was she supposed to know that Kylie used a similar theme 5 years ago on tour? There is no database of past performances of every singer out there. And besides, no one has asked Beyonce what the inspiration behind the performance was.. it may be the movie Metropolis or it may have very well been Kylie.

I love it... Love it, so much that I'm willing to pay the $100,000 for the pants. Balenciaga and many other designers collections are showing tons of futuristic fashion. Again, it wasn't this many bad reviews when they were featured in Vogue. No matter who did it first, Kylie did not give me the glamour that Beyonce did. T. Davis

i remember this topic on fashionista.com honestly i said.. those are some hot tights but beyonce's body does not suit them. beyonce is still hot though. no doubt :)

I'm in the minority of loving beyonce and loving that Balenciaga outfit. Everyones saying that she ripped off Kylie, but that movie is FAMOUS, like, an icon. and that scene is a famous one from the movie, like aladins magic carpet or something. I thought everyone knew about it. Kylie took it from the movie, Beyonce probably got her inspiration from it too. and everyone says that shes been ripping other people off...what else has she done, because i cant recall anything? I thought that she was fiere. And to the person who said that this was ugly just like everything her mother designs: her mom didn't design this- it was BALENCIAGA.

Well that really isn't a outfit for a regular working day, so it shouldn't be judged normally. I guess that this terrible costume could work as a part of the show, but it is hard to say when you haven't seen the whole consept... But I must say that Beayonce always looks great! Oh yes, she sometimes does wear hidious clothes, but somehow she stil manages to look really beautiful. It's all about her pretty face, amazing figure and glowing skin. I am so jealous!
