The Bag To Have: Banana Republic Fillmore Black Deep Satchel

I've been eyeing this Black Banana Republic Fillmore Deep Satchel, $248, for quite some time now, ever since I spotted it in-store. I love the shiny black patent patina, and the leather is super soft and supple to the touch! The snakeskin-like finish gives it a bit of edge that just plain patent leather wouldn't have. The chain is removable, but the bag is beautiful without any bells and whistles attached. Definitely a keeper.

I bought this bag in the teal color a few weeks ago. I love that it's ladylike quality. Also for the style and price, it's a real steal of a leather bag.

Wow, this is a nice bag. I was hesitant to spend over $200 on a banana republic bag. I own one of their totes and purchased a summer bag with flowers from them sometime ago, but both were no more than $50 bucks... this post could possibly make me re-consider. This is a nice bag, wish they had it in a nice rich plum color... oh I so would have to order it... fall wishlist getting too big for my budget as we speak.. =(

I have been eyeing this bag in teal and especially in winter white. Such a classic silhoutte, it's on my fall "want it" list. I am just not sure if I can sneak another bag past my husband....
