The Bag To Have: Temperley 'Empire' Bag

Alice Temperley may be designing a collection for Target but that doesn't mean she doesn't tend to her high-end clients as well.

This Temperley 'Empire' Bag, $1,775, is the perfect way to welcome Fall with open arms. It's part of the label's Autumn/Winter '07/'08 accessories collection and it has all the right features for a Bag to Have. It can act as a shoulder bag or tote, has two handy pockets in front and the signature turn lock. What I admire most is the contrasting colors as well as the antique gold metal framing. And unlike many overly logoed purses out there, it's under the radar, which makes it more mysteriously appealing.

i don't like the beige and black together. and the structure of it is odd to me.

It would be classic and wearable if it were one solid color- that colorblocking makes it confusing and ugly.

I think the bag is fabulous and classy, except noooo! on that price. Also, I am super pumped for Temperley at Target. I'm going to hit the stores early Sunday to snag up pieces before they get all bought up. I'll be disappointed if they don't fit well, though, as that's a problem I've found with some of the past Go + International collections.
