This Week's 10 Best Dressed Stars Are Already in Award Season Mode

With Summer coming to a close, the stars are heading back from their exotic vacation spots and getting down to business. That's because this weekend marks the start of a miniature award season. Sure, it's no Oscars, but with the MTV VMAs on Sunday and the Emmy Awards on Monday, it's been a steady stream of preparties and see-and-be-seen red carpets. Although the stars are likely saving their best looks for those impending events, they definitely didn't rest on their sartorial laurels this week.

Zoe Saldana, in her first red carpet appearance since officially confirming her pregnancy, certainly didn't play it safe in a bold Givenchy animal-print wrap dress, while fellow stars Michelle Dockery and Jessica Alba — perhaps unknowingly — went for supersaturated colors in frocks by the same designer. And for those with any preconceived notion that black is boring, just take a look at what Chloë Moretz and Jaime King wore on the premiere circuit. So, before award season kicks off again, look back at the 10 most award-worthy looks of the week.
