The Met Gala is known for spawning some of the most unique and daring red-carpet looks of the year, and tonight's festivities proved that very notion once again. While it was tough choosing our faves, we whittled it down to our top five looks of the evening. Ginnifer Goodwin left us awestruck in her '70s-inspired emerald green cutout Topshop dress; Gwyneth Paltrow exuded major hotness in a shimmering body-hugging gown from Stella McCartney; Gisele Bundchen took our breath away in a gorgeous red gown from Alexander McQueen; Diane Kruger stunned in a leg-baring nude-and-black creation from Jason Wu; and Madonna channeled classic Hollywood glamour in a blue silk Stella McCartney gown. Well last year she wore a crazy Black Alexander Wang. I am so glad she glammed up! she was a stand out for sure.

i have to agree with ElsaBeK...SJP was one of the best dressed of the night and dressed for the theme "savage beauty." diane kruger was also a top pick. gwyneth's dress was too close to the michael kors she wore for the vanity fair oscar party, and ginnfer goodwin was underwhelming. i was suprised madonna didn't go more over the top as she's done in met gala's past.
Gisele was the belle of the ball as always. Also loved SJP and Liv Tyler.

SJP has to be included on the best dressed! Her dress was incredible! My vote goes to Gisele for the very best.
