Sarah Jessica took her Bitten line to The Today Show this morning and showed off her cute and affordable creations to Matt Lauer. After admitting that the ladies are all on board for the Sex and the City movie everyone just wants to know more, including Matt who asked her what was up. She said, "I feel more hopeful this time, but there still remains so much stuff, simple, logistical things to be done and hammered out." Sarah Jessica Parker was on the Today Show this morning dressed head to toe in her Bitten clothing line. Well, actually her shoes were not Bitten, as she shyly admitted. She said "um, don't ask about the shoes!" I would expect no less out of Miss Carrie Bradshaw herself. She was so cute, down to earth and so endearingly proud of her new line. Sarah Jessica proved today that fashion doesn't have to come with a big price tag. She opened the doors at Steve and Barry's to a hoard of shoppers wanting to get their hands on her new clothing line Bitten, which launched today. That isn't all she has going on. She's finally coming clean about the Sex and the City movie! Here's more:

"I'm not being cagey for once in saying it might happen," she says. "As far as I know all the actresses would love to be together again and do this movie."

But she knows it will take a lot of work for it to happen. "This is a very complicated puzzle to put back," she says. "We have to replicate sets that are gone, re-create apartments and everybody has to feel good about why they're there."

Just like everyone else, we think the film is long overdue! Hopefully the ladies will be able to pull it off. Can't wait to see Carrie and the ladies reunited in the city once again!

Sarah Jessica Parker launched her Bitten line in NYC last night with the support of designer friends like Narcisco Rodriguez who joined her on the black carpet. The collection, which is being sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's will be available June 7th. From what we've seen so far, it's made up mostly of casual wear (to check it out click here). Sarah says she wanted a line that was affordable without looking trashy. “There’s not going to be any inappropriate midriff showing, regardless of your age,” SJP said. “I feel like, as a culture, we have seen enough damage done by it.” Hilarious! I guess Britney wont be wearing her clothes anytime soon.

It's been too long since I gave you an update on SJP's Bitten clothing line - but now there are several bits of news! First off, here are more images from the collection. Did anyone see SJP on Oprah last Friday? They did a little mini fashion show and while some of the pieces are admittedly a bit basic, the jackets, jewelry, and some single items look really fun and SJP-like. So, I think come June 7th we'll have another fashion frenzy on our hands.

As you know Bitten is being sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's and here is a store locator. It will NOT be sold online. Pooh.

Also! There is a contest to "Get Bitten" with SJP and three lucky winners will win a trip for two to NYC. BUT you have to print out the contest form and bring it into a Steve & Barry's store on June 7 before 11AM to enter. Sarah Jessica Parker was caught out in her super casual wear while running errands in the West Village this weekend. Looks like she's practicing what she preaches. In the June issue of Glamour she talks about why she chose to go cheap chic with her new clothing line Bitten. Here's more:

• On other celebrities' collections:
  "Madonna’s line for H&M is extremely directional, provocative and sexy. I don’t know J.Lo’s line as well, but I know that it’s much more trendy than Bitten. L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani is much more avant-garde, definitely high fashion. But I don’t want to do that for women, because that’s not really their lives.
• On Bitten:
  "Bitten is simple silhouettes that are affordable. You’re going to be able to buy $200 worth of clothes, leave that store with six bags and be able to pay your utilities and take your kids someplace special for their birthday. It’s a very different philosophy about shopping. It’s the first and only time I’ve wanted to design... It's a way of giving women without financial means access to good, simple, well-made clothes to feel proud of."
• On being frugal:
  "I often return things because the spending gives me anxiety. But I'm not without my indulgences. And I don't pretend I'm not enjoying the great fortune I've had."

A lot of the celebrity collections these days seem to be easy on the wallet. This allows us to buy more and give back (besides celebrity designers, celebs doing good is the other great trend these days). I can surely support both of these things.

Boy does celebrity fashion news travel fast! It's been an exciting two weeks for fab favorite Sarah Jessica Parker. First, she announced her first ever clothing line called 'Bitten,' then we found out the juicy (ie. cheap!) clothing line details, and then she looked amazing in our premiere SJP Celebrity Style. It is faboo to see you back in the spotlight SJP! She was the original girl who likes to have fun after all. What do you all think?! I'm more into the set on the models - there's a bit more SJP eclecticism going on there. The bottom set looks like a J.Crew lineup (ouch!). Nonetheless, I'll take that grey dress with bottom blue stripe and the black belted corset dress, and I better see a tutu in the mix SJP! Stay tuned for more Bitten...

Sarah Jessica Parker may be a lady of luxury, but she wants to bring fabulous clothing to the masses at affordable prices. Since we already know that her clothing line Bitten will be inexpensive (we're talking each article under $20), now we can all dress like SJP!

The collection was named after her reaction to walking into a Steve & Barry’s store for the first time - she was "bitten." She then decided to collaborate with them to create high-quality sportswear for women of all ages and sizes at a fair price.

It has been reported Bitten will make its official debut on June 7th, only at Steve & Barry's stores. The line will consist of approximately 150 styles and over 400 clothing items and accessories such as: knit shirts, wool and cashmere sweaters, dresses, lingerie, denim, handbags, jewelry, belts and of course...shoes!

The tagline for the collection is: "Fashion is not a luxury, it's a right." I'll second that! This is just soooo exciting!

SJP may not walk around NY in 4 inch Manolo Blahniks all the time like Carrie in Sex and the City but she's certainly still got her flair for fashion. In fact, of all the celebrities getting into fashion design, it's been a wonder that Sarah Jessica hasn't tried her hand -- until now. She just announced that she will be launching her new fashion line called Bitten. We can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve.
