All Saints Opens First New York Store with Rugged, Death Valley Collection

British high street retailer All Saints opened its first stand-alone U.S.

British high street retailer All Saints opened its first stand-alone U.S. stores in Miami and Los Angeles in 2009, and New York's Soho neighborhood is up next. Upon entering the 13,000 square-foot space on Broadway this spring, expect to find exposed brick walls, lots of ram skulls, vintage sewing machines, and a pretty perfect pair of sand-colored desert boots from the current collection. Look of the Day: Cool Khaki

iHeartLayers looks so crisp today.

iHeartLayers looks so crisp today. In anticipation of the warm weather, she paired a cool khaki skirt with white button-down shirt — very sophisticated. I also like how she accessorized with a chunky necklace for maximum pizazz.

Here's what she has on:

Shirt: Bloomingdale's
Necklace: Forever 21
Skirt: Forever 21
Clutch: ShopRuche
Shoes: Naturalizer

Congrats to iHeartLayers!

Everyone else, join the Look of the Day group, then submit your looks. I might feature you on FabSugar!

Immaterial: Here's Looking At You Kid

We are positively miserable with all the rain that has been plaguing May in New York City.

Clear RaincoatWe are positively miserable with all the rain that has been plaguing May in New York City. We thought it was April showers that bring May Flowers, not May showers that destroy April flowers with downpours. But the crummy weather continues on in the Big Apple prompting more than a few of us to put our rain boots in heavy rotation. In fact, this spring is seeing more rain boots on cute girls in shorts and little skirts than the cowboy boot epidemic of Williamsburg. Thus we have been idly browsing raincoats, rainboots and umbrellas of all stripes. And no we aren't going to bore you with a round up of our favorite picks, even we get nauseated by this content trick after a while. But we did find a raincoat so compelling (at Bloomingdales, another shocker) we simply had to share. The Echo Polka Dot Trench is a clear trench raincoat with black polka dots made of packable PVC. In other words, you can pop this beauty into your purse and whip it at at a moment's notice without ever hindering the view of the outfit you spent so much time perfecting in the morning. And its on sale for $33. Turns out staid department store shopping can be fun after all!

Fab Site: Bloomingdales.com Got a Facelift!

A long time web shopper, I have always been frustrated with Bloomingdales online.

A long time web shopper, I have always been frustrated with Bloomingdales online. I never thought their site emulated the upscale look and selection Bloomies carries. To my surprise, the retailer has made an effort to refresh their face on the web. The new Bloomies has a black background, appears better organized than before, and has a more upscale allure. Check out the homepage:

They have joined other savvy retailers like Fab favorites Neiman Marcus and Net-a-Porter by drawing you in with a beautiful home page. New features include a Designer Spotlight (currently Tory Burch), The Trend Shop, and Spotlight On: Prom (where there are some great frocks!). You can then shop by Designers, Women, Shoes & Handbags, Beauty, Men, Home, Jewelry & Accessories, Kids, Sales & Values, Shop Catalogs, Bridal Registry and Gifts. The photography has improved too; it's not as catalogy and more high fashion.

Big improvements for Bloomingdale's if you ask me, let's hope they keep it coming! In the meantime, to see some of my picks, read more
