When we spotted Britney Spears at the People's Choice Awards [1], we got to wondering . . . is she set to become a red carpet regular? And tonight we got our answer: kind of. Though the singer didn't make it to the Academy Awards, she did land a coveted ticket to the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. And she broke out the big guns, in a sparkly black skinny-strapped dress with a U neckline (all the better for showing off a choker necklace with a dangling tassel). While it might not have been quite up there with our red carpet Oscars favorites [2], it was certainly better than some of the things we've seen from her [3].
