Why should runway collections have all the fun? To present the Spring 2013 wares from its sportswear, denim, underwear, and accessories lines, Calvin Klein constructed the first floor of a home in an all-white space using 2x4 studs painted black.

The space made a perfect backdrop for models to display next season's various products. While some languished in Calvin Klein's iconic underwear and jeans, others wore new striped designs that echo Francisco Costa's stark black and white collection for Spring. The modernist designs were tempered with pops of color or prints.

Hanneli Mustaparta, the model-turned-blogger who has been helping Calvin Klein raise its digital profile since earlier this year, was on hand to take pictures of the collection. A look at the setup — and all the clothes — here in the gallery.

The Campaign That Caused Kate Moss's Nervous Breakdown
Kate Moss says the iconic Calvin Klein ad she did early in her career caused her to have a mental collapse.
"I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18, when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts," Moss says in the December issue of Vanity Fair. "It didn't feel like me at all. I felt really bad straddling this buff guy. I didn't like it. I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die. I went to the doctor and he said, 'I'll give you some Valium,' and Francesca Sorrenti [Moss's friend and mother of Mario Sorrenti], thank God, said, 'You're not taking that.'"
Elsewhere in the interview, Moss discusses her discomfort with posing nude for Corinne Day — the photographer who discovered her – the "years and years of crying" she suffered after breaking up with Johnny Depp, and the mental anguish she dealt with in her first years as a model.
"It was just anxiety. Nobody takes care of you mentally. There's a massive pressure to do what you have to do. I was really little, and I was going to work with Steven Meisel. It was just really weird — a stretch limo coming to pick you up from work. I didn't like it. But it was work, and I had to do it."

Elle Women in Hollywood Style Standout: Jaime King in Calvin Klein
Elle held its Women in Hollywood gala in Beverly Hills last night, and while many fashionable starlets turned up, our style standout was Jaime King. The Hart of Dixie actress wore a sexy-slash-sweet white cutout dress with chunky platform Calvin Klein sandals, and a Calvin Klein box clutch. We especially love that she finished her red-carpet look via an unexpected Calvin Klein ivory tuxedo-style coat. The ivory and white color combo is super chic, while the longer hemline on her coat and dress makes for a classy nighttime ensemble. To re-create Jaime's style for your next fancy affair, pair up an ivory coat or blazer with a little white dress and matching white sandals.

Francisco Costa Brings Back the Cone Bra For Calvin Klein Spring '13
Francisco Costa was one of the last major designers to show during NYFW, and for Calvin Klein's Spring 2013 show, he seemed to make the most of it. The collection was modern, seductive, and sleek, featuring formfitting gowns with conical bustiers, artfully draped skirts, and sheer inserts. Watch the full runway show now, and let us know what you think of the collection in the comments.
Calvin Klein Spring 2013
The Calvin Klein show may be the last big hurrah of New York Fashion Week, but it rarely disappoints. So as the crowd settled into their seats and the last of the paparazzi bulbs flashed, the vibe pre-show Thursday was one of quiet, celebratory anticipation.
br>
And there was plenty to celebrate about the collection Francisco Costa offered up for Spring 2013. With its undulating lines, feminine proportions, and transparent fabrics, it was a lovely lineup steeped in subtle sensuality and power. Silk crepe, satin, and organza in pale neutrals and white looked delicate and sheer, but were manipulated in such a way that the pieces — mostly dresses — had an airy, sculptural quality to them. They moved across the body in structural curves, then nipped in softly at the waist. A whisper-weight moiré sheer fabric in black was especially intriguing; layered over solid white, it was both revealing and protectively reflective. A plasticized basket weave mesh, used on shifts and strapless dresses, had a similar, teasing effect.
