The opening of any luxury retailer on Rodeo Drive is cause for celebration, but Carolina Herrera's new store brought out an incredibly gorgeous, fashion-forward crew. Celebrities like Amy Adams, Ali Larter, and Rashida Jones got classy with beautiful updos, vintage glasses, and pops of color on their lips. Click to see some of the best looks of the night.
You probably don't need us to tell you that a Carolina Herrera-hosted fete is a very chic kind of party — so we'll show you. Last night, the designer's Vanity Fair-cohosted store opening on Rodeo Drive brought out a crew of celebrity style setters, all dressed impeccably in —of course! — Carolina Herrera.Camilla Belle chose a Summer-perfect Carolina Herrera embroidered top and lace trumpet skirt, which she finished with punchy open-toe heels. Rashida Jones opted for an understated sheath dress with a cool, faded-effect pattern and studded suede ankle-strap heels. Ali Larter brightened up the red carpet in a red floral-print minidress and strappy black sandals — certainly the flirtiest look of the night. As for the rest, Kiernan Shipka looked polished and age appropriate in a sweet sheath with a ribbon bow at the waist. Amy Adams took the classic approach in a feminine white, ruffled blouse and a black pencil skirt, while Naya Rivera slipped into a '70s-glam polka-dot blouse and wide-leg pants, and furthered the vibe with hoop earrings and layered necklaces. Now that you've got the who-wore-what rundown, it's time to cast your vote. Who's your best dressed of the night?
Amy Adams popped up to show her support for her friend, designer Carolina Herrera, by cohosting a cocktail party in honor of the opening of the CH Carolina Herrera boutique on Rodeo Drive last night in LA. Amy was not the only star to drop by the celebratory event as Rashida Jones, Angie Harmon, Ali Larter, and The Help's Anna Camp all dropped by the store. Amy has donned her pal Carolina's designs for the Oscars and Golden Globes, as well as many other red carpets in the past, and their support is mutual since Carolina designed custom-made maternity wear for Amy while she was pregnant during her Leap Year press tour back in 2010.
Amy's now back on the West Coast after taking her latest action flick, Man of Steel, around the world alongside her costars Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe. The trio made stops in NYC, London, and, most recently, Taormina, Italy, just two weeks ago. While she is currently front and center on the big screen, Amy also graces the cover of Allure's July issue, in which she showed her lighthearted side, joking about her bikini body upon the start of Summer. She said, "I'm just not going to be one of those people photographed in a bikini where people are like, 'OMG, look at Amy!' I mean, it might be OMG, but not for the reasons I want."
If the abundance of grosgrain stripes and allover florals weren't indication enough, let it be known: Carolina Herrera was "all about prints" for Resort 2014. But despite the turn to more whimsical, irreverent patterns, she never veered away from her signature uptown elegance. Case in point: abstract prints took shape on palazzo pants, giving the ladies-who-lunch set something to talk about; ball gowns came rife with cotton candy pink and baby blue stripes; and exaggerated watercolors bloomed on trumpet-skirt silhouettes. With a mostly ladylike lineup — dresses for day and night, with just a few separates for those in-between occasions — it came as a pleasant surprise to spot clear-strap sandals and colorblocked lace-up pumps as the finishing touch.

Julianne Hough donned a bright red Carolina Herrera number to step out for the EIF's Unforgettable Evening event in support of the Women's Cancer Research Fund at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in LA last night. She was joined by a host of other stars for the charitable evening, including Chelsea Handler, Rita Wilson, Amber Valletta, Angie Harmon, and Lisa Kudrow. Big names from the fashion industry like Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, and James Ferragamo were also in attendance for the night out. Funnygirl Chelsea, who was accompanied by her boyfriend, André Balazs, was the life of the party as she made the rounds on stage and visited different tables throughout the dinner. Julianne and Chelsea are not the only stars to support the cause. Next weekend, Halle Berry and Julie Bowen will be among other A-listers to step out for the EIF's Revlon Run/Walk For Women in LA, which benefits women's cancer research.
Aside from her big night out, it was a relaxing week for Julianne, who joined pal Nina Dobrev in Miami over the weekend. Julianne and Nina donned bikinis for a relaxing beach getaway that included fun in the ocean and poolside lounging. Nina has been a supportive friend to Julianne, who broke up with Ryan Seacrest back in March, and the girls turned up at a Lakers game together right after Julianne's publicized split.
When we saw the überelegant twisted hairstyle that came down the runway at Carolina Herrera this past Fashion Week, we immediately began scratching our heads to figure out how to replicate it, but Allison Williams beat us to the punch. Her center part with a twisted updo is an easy way to translate Herrera's oversize rolls.
Achieving this style is surprisingly simple. Mist your second-day hair down with some hair spray, like Victoria's Secret So Sexy Style Hold & Finish Hairspray ($14). Part your hair in the center and pin one section to the side. Starting at your ears, twist the free section down your head until you reach the nape of your neck, and secure the twist with bobby pins. Repeat on the second side. Pull the loose hair on either side together, twist into a bun, secure with bobby pins, and finish with a mist of hair spray. You'll look like you just stepped off the runway.
Even though she skipped the Academy Awards red carpet, Renée Zellweger was statuesque (and svelte as ever) in her gold metallic Carolina Herrera gown. A small train added understated drama, while the keyhole cutout with velvet ruby-red bows was an unexpected surprise from the back. A few sparkly red bangles added a subtle tinge, and a gold box clutch kept the metallic theme going. Are you into Renée's golden look?Vote on all of our Oscar polls here!
