Curiosity about Carrie Bradshaw's family — only vaguely referenced in HBO's Sex and the City—didn't make me watch the premiere of The Carrie Diaries, the CW's much-anticipated SATC prequel, last night. Neither did any interest in her pre-Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte crew, or non-Mr. Big boyfriends. Still, I made the effort to close my MacBook, stash my iPhone and pay close attention for one extremely important reason: the fashion. Nay, the fashion as interpreted by Eric Daman, the show's costume designer.
