After seeing a crop of sheer dresses on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival, we wonder: is less more? First Rachel McAdams wore a red and nude Marchesa dress, then Penelope Cruz chose a lavender Marchesa gown for her Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere, and model Candice Boucher pushed the sheer envelope in this black beaded dress that leaves little to the imagination. What do you think of this trend? Is it super sexy or terribly overexposed?

Too much exposure is not elegent,I somewhat like Rachel Mc Adams drees,the other dresses not really.I mean Candice Boucher's drees was overexposed, shes at the at Cannes Film Fest,not a strip club!

Penelope's dress has the lace on top of a nude dress so no it isn't sheer. The dress on the "mode" is tacky.

When will they learn, leaving more to the imagination is better!
I love the two Marchesa gowns, especially Rachel's, but that one is the middle gives the trend a bad name. It just looks trashy.
