I don't like engagement rings. First off, the impact of diamonds on the environment and people lives carries some serious bad karma I wouldn't want in my life! Secondly, they are artificially made to be expensive, I tried on a $3m ring for shts and giggles once and it looked and felt like a big piece of glass. I'd rather skip the whole think and take a trip, or a combo of trip and really cool gift like an Hermes bag and a little vintage ring. Just me.
