While I do like Jennifer Garner, this outfit seems more frumpy than chic to me. The dress is ill-fitting, she could have picked out something comfortable that still suited her trim-figure.
She should take a cue from her friend, and fellow mom, Reese Witherspoon who has impeccable style and always look chic and well put-together (and somehow comfortable).

I can't believe you are calling Jen Garner "sloppy" !!! That's the most absurd thing I have read on this website. She rocks! And it is soooo refreshing to see the cute pictures of her in normal casual clothes playing with her daughter and shopping at the farmers markets. There's room in the world for all kinds. Let Posh wear the ridiculous heels at the playground, and let Jen be a normal human being.

vienvien, I agree with you about her figure looking bigger. There have been some rumors floating around that she's possibly pregnant again, and I feel like she looks a little heavier lately. The black dress could be hiding a baby bump! hehe.

i think her outfit would be super cute and much more sophisticated if she wore a dress that fit. But i have to give her an A for effort!

It was disappointing to read that a new mom is "sloppy" if she isn't in a "cute dress and heels carrying a ridiculously expensive purse" to take her child to the park. In place of "sloppy" maybe you could have put something to address the fact that Jennifer seems to be a realistic mother by dressing appropriately to take her child out to the park. Jennifer actually plays with her child (unlike Posh who sat there watching her kids play because there is no way she can run in those heels). What hits home a better message for your child? Dress appropriately OR dress stupidly because someone MAY snap a picture of you and you don't want to appear "sloppy" on the playground?

Hi mimisnowball and ariel784. I certainly didn't mean to offend you! I was not implying that Jennifer has to wear sky-high heels like Posh does when playing around with Violet. All I mean is, in my opinion, even when you're a mother and busy with kids, you can still put in a bit of effort to look put together. Now, that doesn't mean going to the extreme and wearing a mini dress and platforms to the playground. All it means is dressing more casual cute. xo.

I really like Jennifer Garner and i also think that this outfit it's not bad at all..i just think that sometimes she could put more effort into her chothing..
