Celebrity Style: Joy Bryant

Well lookie here: actress Joy Bryant wore the J.Crew Talitha Patchwork Dress at a cocktail party at the Chateau Marmont in LA! She looks lovely and lively in her maxi dress. She got creative with her heather grey cardigan by tying it instead of buttoning it up - love it. And her pairing two necklaces together is super cool too. I couldn't see her shoes, so I gave her a cute pair I thought she might be wearing!

I thought the dress was so pretty that I bookmarked a month ago. I think the model who's wearing it looks much better than Joy in this dress. Of course Joy can pull it off because she's so tall but this cardigan covers up the fitted part of the dress, and I hate her hair and makeup with it. I don't like it all.

I just had a flashback, of having to stay the night with my grandmother in milwalkee, sleeping on the couch, and having to use a hideous mulitcolored quilt to keep me warm. This dress is Fug.

I think the dress is gorgeous on her, it's not something I would or could wear but she makes it work. I'm not sure about the sweater over the dress though, it seems like an afterthought. I'm sure she just got cold so she threw it on. It's very casual and relaxed.

I actually really like the dress. I'm not sure about the gray cardigan, though. I like the idea of the cardigan, but I'm pretty opposed to gray for some reason.
