Celebrity Style: Kristen Bell

Cutie Kristen Bell has been making her rounds at New York Fashion Week. She attended the Alice + Olivia presentation in an ensemble that at first seems simple, but upon closer inspection, comes to life. She could have thrown on a dress, like most attendees did, but her look took a little more work. The color palette of black, white, and gold is tame, but the black tapered trousers are what make her so au courant. I love the way her cropped leather jacket toughens up her look, and how the gold coin belt softens it.

I really like the look! But as so many others I'm wary about the pants - they look really cool here - but I'm not sure I could pull it off without feeling like I'm wearing an old Shrovetide costume (Shrovetide is something akin to Halloween only it is in February), specifically the one where I dressed up as Princess Jasmin from Aladdin...

I miss VM as well! I try to catch her interviews; she's so cute. Not diggin the pants either and I'm thin and tall but feel like a cow in things like that. I'm not the most graceful and get caught up in the extra fabric. It tends to look like a wrinkled mess too.

Those pants are so unflattering on short girls. Only models who are 5'10" and 110 lbs can pull those off.
