There were bright lipstick hues in purple and orange, plus vampy wine shades, too. We also spotted metallic eye shadows and rosy cheeks. Your favorite pair of heels has an evil twin. Well, actually, more of a heavenly, comfortable twin. As much as you love throwing on hot pumps for date night, sometimes you need a chic pair of flats to give your feet a much-needed rest after a night on the dance floor. On the other hand, maybe you’re prone to wearing flats every day at work and need to step up your style routine with work-appropriate pumps that still stay true to your personal style. Either way, we've got you covered, and you needn't sacrifice style for comfort this fall. Flip through the slideshow to find the pair of heels and flats that suits your style personality.
One look you won't have trouble translating from the runway to real life is the easy and casual look coming down the Chloé Spring 2014 runway. "The look is an intellectual girl," hairstylist James Pecis told WWD. "This is still in line with the Chloé girl, where there has to be an ease to it." He went with a sleek straight hairstyle with a crisp center part. Diane Kendall with MAC Cosmetics created the no-makeup makeup look to complement the light and airy collection that was done in shades of olive green. Kendall applied a light layer of makeup and then actually removed some of it with moisturizer to get the dewy look.
Clare Waight Keller knows what a girl wants. For Spring 2014, the Chloé collection was filled with soft, feminine pieces that took you from day to night, from a beach resort to a city dinner, without ever breaking stride in the platform wedge shown with many of the looks. The designs were light and airy with lace, cotton and open knits in a palette of white, navy, and olive with touches of gold. The bags were as covetable as ever with standouts including a small crossbody slung nonchalantly onto the back and a soft satchel held casually by the models' sides. Turns out that pretty and easy is pretty easy to love.
