Current/Elliott Ruffle Swimsuit: Love It or Hate It?

I always try to be one step ahead of the fashion game. That said, I've already begun my hunt for the perfect swimsuit. On my search, I came across this interesting Current/Elliot Ruffle Swimsuit ($231). The cotton and linen composition has me wondering if it's even waterproof, and the vintage cut is also questionable. Too frilly for my taste, what about you?

The construction is bad, the ruffles fall flat and the ruching looks amateurish and too pronounced. Those straps also look awfully flimsy.

I kind of like it, but I agree that it doesn't look very thick, and it almost looks old(?) I don't know, there's something off...

I am so in love with it! I pick up a bikini and a one piece every year....this would be great for pool parties because you could walk around in it and not feel tart-y!
